    What was the point? Its a stupid stock image cliche. "Believe"...sounds like some knock off criss angel straight to DVD box set shit.

    As David Hume famously said "a wise man proportions his belief to the evidence". I take that to mean that believing in something don't make it so, bro.

    Simply put, "Believe Memphis" came about during the playoffs where they defied the odds and made history.

    That's what the Blazers are trying to do here. Defy the odds and make history.

    Cliche or not, it's a phrase that resonated with the team and the city and has stuck around.

    I hope he is not our starting SG next year. I would view that as taking a step back. I envision CJ as a 6th man player who can come in and get his, providing a spark off the bench. If he is upgraded to starting SG then that means we have downgraded at the position IMO. That's not a knock on CJ, just the way I hope our team is depth wise.

    I believe I saw the musical "Memphis" a few weeks ago. It was a rollickling lighthearted romp highlighting the duality of mans struggle between consumerism and nature, a shallow representation of tired racial stereotypes under fluorescent lights. It gave me such incredible boners.
