Playoffs Round 2 Game 1: Warriors vs. Jazz

Before the playoffs, I'd be with you. But these two teams are playing terrific basketball right now. That was a very entertaining first half. It seemed like both teams kind of adjusted a little, in terms of playing style. The Jazz opened up a little and allowed Deron to push up the tempo. The Warriors kind of toned it down a little, trying to be more efficient while still running the ball.

 

Derron looks like a young Jason Kidd out there. The Jazz have a superstar in the making in Utah.

I agree, his passes are so accurate and crisp, it's sick. I haven't had much of a chance to watch the Jazz this season but they are definitely a great team. Carlos Boozer is a good scorer, AK47 can do it all, and Williams runs that offense very smoothly.

 

JRich tried to tear the rim down with that two hand slam!

It's Warriors basketball. It's herky jerky, fast, quick, athletic, run and gun, and all over the place. The Jazz aren't playing their ball. They're trying to match , run and gun, and take it to the hoop which plays into the Warriors hands. The Jazz are doing a great job on the glass, and getting their fast break game going, which the Warriors need to be cognizant of. Otherwise, they're going to continue playing their game.

 

Get Pietrus off the court!!! If he ain't hitting his corner threes he ain't doing anything to help.

 

Harrington! He's really making up for Jrich's lack of production in points.

 

I sure wish Baron would abandono that post up fade away shot in the corner.... i am wiating for j-rich and baron to start going to the hole with those post ups instead of settling for jump shots.

Man, I love Jrich, but he's been really disappointing for a playoff rookie. He just doesn't bring results every single game except for rebounding. And I think it's really tied to his ballhandling and ability to create for himself. Otherwise he just forces threes or does these shots that don't go in because he's not that great of a shooter. He does all right in the midrange post, but if he ain't hitting the fadeaway shots, he's got to get something started with a dunk or a layup before he heats up from the perimeter. What I would give to have Ray Allen right now and an athletic rebounder at PF.

I don't care how much people diss on Barnes, he's 10x better than Pietrus.
