Play Layman damnit. He has earned the minutes and can make a difference out there both with his off ball movement and athleticism on defense. Our turnovers were bad, but the problem was getting back in transition after them. 23 points off our 18 miscues is ridiculous in a playoff game. And Terry, for Godsakes, scout the freaking opponent. Denver looked like this was game 30 for them in the regular season given the ease with which they got into their sets.

Also, I really think Dame has to go out of his way to get Aminu/Harkless involved offensively. He's done this all season, but the moment we got down yesterday, he was hellbent on splitting the double and getting to the rim. While this worked and we scored, it was more possessions for our two best defenders to just be spectators. Hard for anyone to stay engaged defensively when you aren't doing anything on the other end. This might be to our detriment for scoring, but our defense WILL improve. Strategy wise, I'd try some minutes with Aminu guarding Jokic and throwing double teams at him whenever he puts the ball down. It also would allow for a fairly manageable switch with Moe if they run a P&R with Murray. I think Kanter will do OK chasing around Millsap. Just change up coverage-- stop giving them 40+ minutes of the same defense.

All in all a really poor effort in game 1-- mostly because this series seems winnable, but we didn't put out the effort or have sound strategy to start. Sucks when you do this after a week off.

Isiah Thomas: Jokic is the best basketball player in this series. Lillard might want it more, but Jokic is a better basketball player.

Alright then. It's amazing how reactionary these guys are.

We played a horrible game 1. We can beat them, just need to fix the TO’s. Let’s go. Game 2 it’s gonna be huge

Why do they call him "Joker"?
    There's nothing funny about him.
Does he have a great sense of humor?
Does he despise Batman or love Jack Nicholson?
Is it because of his last name(which would be lame)?
He's a big fat slow white guy.
Watching him play so good is like watching Celine Dion win a hot dog eating contest, or Peter Dinklage body slamming The Rock.

It is hard to compared big vs small but Lillard is the better overall player due to his D being acceptable (at least) this year.

And it shouldn't be lost that he's doing this without our second best player. Isiah's a moron.

They call him Joker because he has the physique of present-day Jack Nicholson

I hate that Joker nickname. He really does not look like a funny guy. Funny looking, a little. But a jokester? Doubtful.

And yes, people seem to think it's a clever play on his name. Which is completely lame.

What?? Jokic is a "bigger" basketball player, which brings with it certain advantages, but Dame is clearly the more skilled, and hence "better" "basketball player". Also, how effective would Jokic be sitting on the bench if they called him for the same fouls they call on Zach, or even Dame? The guy is constantly grabbing, pushing, holding, and elbowing. Yet he never gets called. Ever.

Jesus, Zach Lowe just revealed a staggering stat.

Evan Turner has 1 field goal in 6 games.

Sounds like ET might be in a bit of a slump.

You know what the cure for a slump is don't you?

    More minutes, and more shots.

    Yeah, that's the ticket!

    Question.
Can the Nuggets play any better than they did in Game1?
    I'm not sure they can.
    Damian with 6 TO's?
    I still love our chances.
