You can lead by 1 for 47 minutes, 59 seconds, but if you trail by 1 after that, you lose.

Of course we owe him nothing next year. But he is on the books this year. Look at the numbers and you will figure it out.
Also Blazers are still not completely out of the woods on Anderson. But they will be in July.
Here is another thing...What happens if they start getting production from Montero Cannaughton or Alexander? Those guys are dirt cheap.

At what point should Terry step in though? Dame isn't the kind of guy to tell Terry to fuck off, so at some point the coach needs to actually speak up and say, "feed CJ."

Definitely. Their only advantage was veteran playoff experience and maturity. The Blazers just got a good dose of that.

The thing is Connaughton, Montero, and Alexander are never gonna get the minutes to be very productive....they are basically seat warmers, just in case guys, cheap contracts to get us to 15 bodies

You might be right on that. I sure hope they do get a chance though.

Which in Montero's case sucks a bit because he has the best handle, the best passing ability and is the 2nd best shooter of any of our options at SF.

I hope Dame is taking this young man under his wing this summer. We need to get him on the court next season.

I disagree, there is something to playing the long game with our young guys, with continued development those guys will eventually crack the rotation when we let players go for cap reasons in the future.

The Thing about that is, before they e eventually might find themselves in the rotation, they aren't getting enough time on the floor to improve, then the players before them who spent a year getting experience, and just good, are leaving...guys like connaughton, Montero, and Alexander step in and we have wait another year just for them to catch up...it's a hamster wheel man
