I don't think that Shaq guarding Bosh will happen, but if it does, Bosh can run circles around him. Shaq will just allow Bosh to shoot jumpers all day. While on defense Bosh will be severely deficient, it'll be interesting to see how the Heat would play us when we have Bargnani, Bosh and Garbajosa in the frontcourt. There's no way Shaq can guard any one of them.

Ugggh .. Nocioni and Deng anyone ? ? Those are your Bosh stoppers right there.
Shaq, Mourning, and Wallace won't guard Bosh becaues they'll be at C. We'll avoid making that matchup because it will wear bosh down on at least one end of the court. Bosh gives up too much weight to two of those guys in anycase.

Having a Heat-Raptors matchup would be really interesting to say the least. On the one hand nobody is going to stop shaq. On the other hand if we keep the tempo of the game up we should be able to get up and down the floor quicker then they can. Also, as Locke said with Bargnani, Bosh, and Garbo our bigs can stretch the floor so it creates more problems on defense.

Also, seeing how Bosh reacts to his first taste of post season play will be huge. Will he put the team on his shoulders, or will he fold like VC against the Knicks the first time he made the playoffs. I can honestly see it going either way.

Bosh and VC are totally different players. Bosh is tough mentally and I expect him to contribute and if he does have a bad game he will bounce back the next game as usual

There's a strong chance Toronto faces Miami in the 1st Round, which benefits the Raptors IMO. The Heat's biggest weakness is the high pick and roll. Shaq has never been able to defend it, and the Raptors big men can all shoot from mid range.

The Heat also struggle against uptempo teams, especially in a long series. They don't have team quickness, and the recovery time is longer because of the age factor.

The only hinderence will be DWade if he returns for the playoffs, but he won't be 100%, and he'll be rusty. The combination of Anthony Parker, Juan Dixon, and Mo Peterson should be enough to force Wade to work for baskets, and both can score on the other end, which prevents Miami from hiding Wade on defense.

Taking a quick glance, I think the Raptors match up for favorable against the Heat, than the Bulls.
