Yeah, I can't even describe how I feel. Maybe beaten. I'm 57. I beat cancer. I was caretaker for both my mother and her sister in the last years of their lives. I've advocated for at-risk young people and supported the local animal shelters and wildlife rescues my whole life. Now, I have no idea what's next for me. I kind of feel like I've outlived my place in the world. Not depressed about it. It's just like, "Oh well, you lived a little too long."

The primary complaintant got her job because of me. I took up for her co-worker when her family was guilting her when she dated a transgender boy.

It'd seem like in a country as advanced as ours is supposed to be that there'd be better ways to respond to something like this, but apparently there aren't. It's like Boss Hogg and Roscoe P. Coletrain from "Dukes of Hazzard."

Yeah, not sure how much I believe in our country, our people or justice of any kind anymore. Seems to me the United States never has been about any of that. It says it is so we feel better about ourselves. But we know it really isn't.

 

LOL, the local newspaper even ran an incorrect headline that I pleaded guilty to harassment. They later changed the headline online and ran a small correction in the paper, but the damage was already done.

I asked the attorney if I was able to recover any damages from them. "No, it was just a mistake. It'd have to be malicious or reckless." Running a headline that says a private citizen pleaded to harassment rather than disorderly conduct isn't reckless? My Facebook got spammed with all kinds of hate on Christmas day on a post wishing everyone Merry Christmas and they linked that article with the wrong headline. How is what they did not reckless?

I am kind of tied here, but the thing is that what was done to me was perfectly legal. It could happen to me, you or anyone else in this thread unless you live in a state which a much higher threshhold for arrests, taking a case to trial and checks on judicial misconduct.

Common tactic of Christian nationalists is to give fake quotes from founders to bolster their fake claim founders intended to establish Christian country. This is taught in many states, especially using fake Praeger "University" materials.

Elise Stefanik, four years ago, said insurrectionists should be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law. Yesterday she said she is concerned about treatment of January 6 "hostages".

There were hostages in Gaza, you fuckhead. Doubt any are still alive. No trial by jury, no presumption of innocence, no defense attorney, no right to appeal. When Israel crushed Gaza they had little concern their own were also dying.
