A Dem push to win back America that could actually work.

Drop expanding gun control. The best plan to reduce gun crime is the same as it is for crime. Reduce poverty. Focus on universal healthcare (M4À), universal and equal access to education, and improved social safety net.

The pitch becomes that Democrats are the only party actually trying to reduce crime and increase personal liberties and well being.

If Democrats made that switch they could turn many states more purple or even solid blue.

Alaska, Texas, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and possibly more...

Gun rights is a huge single issue voter point of contention.

 

A lot of that is what Mamdani said. Make living in New York affordable.
