Damn. Maybe I should have gotten a peach tree instead of a nectarine tree. Peach tree would provide peaches and cheeseburgers!

A friend of mine just died due to drugs laced with fentynal. Not sure where else to put that info, but that shit is getting us closer to the bottom, probably. On his birthday, at his own birthday party. Fucking tragic. Ugh.

    Portland area?

I ask because this girl that works at a business on my route missed some time at work because her bf died from fentanyl. I think they’re from Lake Oswego. I didn’t dig into too much detail, but she seems pretty straight laced. I guess it was supposed to be adderral?

Thanks for all the condolences, everyone. I was lucky to already be spending time with family today and had support around..

I would suggest anyone messing around with street drugs or that has kids going to college anytime soon get a fentynal test kit, just in case. That life is long behind me, but you don't want to be on the wrong side of it.

Played that song quite a few times tonight, it'll always remind me of my friend. RIP

A lot more good be done in keeping it out of the country, but it's obviously not a priority.
The increase of deaths the last couple years is crazy. There is literally more concern over other issues that are more politically rewarding.

The President is also calling for more than an $18 billion investment to reduce the supply of illicit substances in the United States. This includes $747.5 million in increases for efforts to reduce the availability of drugs, including efforts to interdict illicit drugs at ports of entry and disrupt drug trafficking networks, support domestic law enforcement efforts to reduce drug-related violence and property crime, and availability of illicit substances and work with international partners to reduce drug production. The FY 2023 budget requests an increase of $335.5 million for Drug Enforcement Administration investigations, diversion control, and other counterdrug efforts. The budget also includes an increase of $293.4 million for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to stop drugs from entering the country at and between ports-of-entry. The budget also calls for increases of funding for the Office of National Drug Control Policy’s Drug Free Communities Support (DFC) program and High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program, which strengthens collaboration between Federal, State, local, and Tribal law enforcement and public health officials.

Don't people have to get that shit from doctors in order to sell it? Eh, people probably cook it up in labs like Meth.
