I didn't want Jordan because he can't shoot or make a free throw.

Now I find out Plumlee is just as bad, but not as good. Ugh.

At least he costs pennies compared to Jordan. So there's that.

Meyers way outplayed Rolo against Gasol...Rolo bummed me out the last dozen games of the season..just looked disengaged and really slow to rotate. Rolo started really strong, came back from injury and had a few great games ...then....snoozefest through the end and playoffs

Plumlee will be a great bench big...when you need stops, he's not the guy to spark runs though. He'll probably not be in the end of close games anyway

Nope. Late game lineup will probably be Dame/ CJ / Henderson (for now..) / Aldridge / Leonard anyway.

one note on that, from reading a few articles it seemed he performed a LOT better when starting vs coming off the bench, maybe that can change

Nets had a really crappy bench though so that's a difference maker

The Nets are pretty clueless. Plumlee is already really good.

He's an old school post player. He's fundamentally sound, except the FTs.

    Blazers scored big.

Yeah after paying attention, he shows he should be a steal. I know Brooklyn is in shambles, but giving us plumlee for basically our pick is crazy

I don't get why he can't shoot 8 ft out or from the free throw line. He has sof hands and a good touch close in, and seems to move fluidly, two things that would indicate an ability to shoot. It's either in his head or lak of practice, but something he should be able to overcome with the right coaching and time.

Just curious, but who is starting over him? You think we land a Monroe and or Hibbert?

I think right now as the roster stands it's Leonard and Aldridge at the 4 and 5 to start games. If we get another big it might be Hibbert, It might be Rolo. I'd prefer Vucevic but don't think we'll get him. Plumlee could earn the spot but I think Leonard has the edge now.

And his checking account balance probably opened a lot of legs.

Why? Plumlee has better per 36 numbers and a way better PER. Also knows and will play defense. You think it's just familiarity or Stotts obsession with defense be damned as long as you can shoot/

Well considering last time we traded a player to the Nets it resulted in the future all star of Lillard, I am okay with trading with them again. Thanks again zombie New Jersey team!

You may be right, I just think he'll dominate off the bench and Meyers will stretch the floor. Meyers played great defense at the end of the season. It'll be a dogfight to see
if Leonard keeps the starting job.

Keep in mind there is a difference between man defense and team defense. Plumlee allegedly plays both at a respectable level. Not sure you can say that about Leonard.

I keep hearing about this great late season defense, but I saw the games, and must have been in the bathroom because I got nothing. Gasol was a decoy for our series because Lillard was a sieve and that was the obvious place to attack.

Gasol's game score stats were way better vs us than GS, for example. Averaged about 20/10 vs us as well.
