http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ees-three-year-41-million-deal-denver-nuggets Pretty fair offer given his current role and center market. Still think he'd have been paid way more were it not for that trade.
No way is Plums worth more than 13.5 mil a year (IMO). Especially as a backup. I doubt Portland would have given him that much considering the state of our cap, unless other trades were made at least. In short, I think things worked out better for Plums than I thought they would. This is more than I thought he'd get, so good for him.
I dont appreciate Plumlee whatsoever, but thats a great deal for DEN, he could be a moron like Nerlens Noel
I'm glad we're not paying him that much. I think NO would have let him walk if that was a UFA offer and he was still with us.
Exactly. Too rich for my blood and a STUPID move by Den. Why offer him that much if NO ONE is bidding for his services...?
You guys are nuts! Plumlee WAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY outplayed my expectations. I thought he was great for us. Trade worked out for us for sure, but That dude kicked ass for us.
I honestly thought he'd get like 8 mil, in part due to the perception that he went from a good situation for him to a bad one. Shows what I know
He's not gonna ear that money coming off the bench in Den. He won't even avg double digit rebounds. Watch.
Glad to see that our concerns were justified. He got exactly what we thought he'd get, and I'm glad we're not the ones paying him. I really like Plums, but he should be around $8 million per year.... not $13.5 per year. That's insane.
Plus, I think Denver painted themselves into a corner. They couldn't trade Nurk AND a pick and then let Plums walk for nothing. That would have looked even worse than the trade already does.
It's a bargain if you look at some deals that were given out last summer: Biyombo-- 4yrs, 72 mil Dwight-- 3yrs, 71 mil Noah-- 4yrs, 72 mil Mahinmi-- 4yrs, 64 mil Mozgov-- 4yrs, 64 mil Miles Plumlee-- 4yrs, 52 mil Asik-- 4yrs, 44mil Meyers-- 4yrs, 41 mil
