It’s a little ridiculous to think across the United States there are a bunch of white nationalist types joining to takeover eventually one day. You’re pretty much assuming first of all that there are that many white supremacists which I highly doubt there are. Yeah this cop fucked up. It’s prertt much a murder and it’s terrible but god damn the amount of work police do on a daily basis and seeing videos like this, I would say the ratio is pretty good. Every so often we see videos like this but most of the damn time, every day 24/7 around the states cops work. This shit doesn’t happen all the time. Being a cop for anybody is an impossible job. It just is. I don’t know the answers to the issue besides what people have pointed out in more training and tests to be more qualified or some shit but I would say these guys do a decent job most of the time. Another shitty thing is this country loves focusing on all the fuck ups cops do but they are never recognized for the good they do. Think about it. They get slammed by protest groups all the time, in music they get slammed. It’s always been “fuck the police”. I would like to see people have some more empathy for this insane job while still holding certain individuals accountable for what happened in this video and others. There needs to be some mutual respect because this shit is becoming us vs them and that’s when you start to see more shitty cops
Police are recognized all the time for the good deeds or performing above and beyond the call of duty. It might not get as much attention as the bad stuff, but attention is given. More importantly, incidents like this one are creating discussions in cities, towns, and communities across the country. More and more departments are outfitting their officers with body cameras. A big debate now is should they be on all the time, when police are responding to a call, or only when they interact with suspects? Does that footage belong to the police department? If a police officer's body camera records an interaction with you do you have right to that footage?
I dunno. What do you fuck? Dude, its a doomsday scenario, but plausible that with the internet and communication there are sects looking to do this very thing. IF you think that's ridiculous, you are naive. Warfare has no bounds and limits.
Well we have a right to record them right? Yes I feel as though we need cameras on police officers on at every incident. People need to record their interactions with police just in case.
I’m saying in traffic stop situation. Pull the phone out, press record and set it on the seat or somewhere before the officer gets to your window
Ok, so here goes nothing.... Guilty or not, the cop should be behind a desk, unless they can fire him. There needs to be a complete overhaul of police hiring, training and discipline.
Ive been trying to tell people. Stop making ex military a preference for police officers. These guys are trained to kill or be killed and it's too hard to screen for PTSD. If i was a captain of a police force id be scared to hire someone that's seen combat.
I hear you, but I couldn't go that far. I am quite sure sociological testing can be done eliminate the bully. Perhaps the dude in the picture in this thread should have been passed over on the visual evidence he presents. But even when you get that right, leadership has to change the policies and tactics to not put the officer in the position to fuckup.
THIS cop doesn't need more training. That would be correct. THIS cop needs prison. The rest of them... Yeah.. Training and schooling. But your idea is to NOT give more training to the people who ultimately have our lives in their hands... Sorry but that's fucking stupid.
