  3. Really? That's it?

    7.6%
  4. We got worse

    1.3%
  5. I have no idea - I'm high right now

    5.1%

Difference is CJ, Powell, Roco and Dame. If they double Dame then the Beast Feasts.

Easily the best player in that deal

Powell shoots 3 more threes per game than Crabbe did here. 44% on 6 threes a game is insane efficiency for a bench player. I think he'll be on the floor to finish games for us.

To call their potential impact the same is kinda shortsighted.

We don't. But we only like the ones whose name starts with D and last name ends with illard.

This is Crabbe's best efficiency year vs Powell's last full season:

More efficient, better rebounder, assists, steals, blocks, more usage, higher advanced stats. Only turnovers is worse.

Ya it was a pretty lazy comparison tbh. Powell is just is another realm as a player. If he was on contract for another yr, this woulda been a homerun trade.

I'm not sure I fit any of the poll options.

I think it makes us marginally better as Powell is better than Trent.

I worry that we will have nothing to show for this trade in a few months, which would be a disaster. If Olshey can resign Powell to a team friendly deal, then I will happily praise him for the move.

I think "disaster" is overstating it. Trent might've been gone anyway, if somebody gave him a poison pill contract offer (or: even worse, we sign it anyway and he's Crabbe II), and I'm actually glad to offload Hood, nice guy though he seemed to be.

True to a certain extent, but even the Jordan Bulls played Bill Wennington/Luc Longley/the other guy,

OK, but the only team that REALLY went all-out smallball was the Rockets with our own RoCo as their C, and it had very mixed results.

This marks the 2nd time the Blazers have traded a Trent to Toronto. Like father, like son.

But they aren’t going small ball. They have bigs. They have guys who are 7’, and 6’8’ and small dudes. Who cares what they are called. Nobody in the NBA does.

I get your point... I don't think we're in a position to lose a young rotational player for nothing. We need need to consolidate talent for an all-star level player.
