Discussion in 'Blazers OT Forum' started by PtldPlatypus, Feb 23, 2018.

?

What do you think should be legal regarding firearm ownership?

  1. No limitations on purchasing firearms

  2. All firearms allowed except military-only weapons (automatic weapons, explosives, etc)

  3. Military-only weapons and large magazines (say, greater than 12) prohibited

  4. Automatic weapons and all semi-automatic rifles (eg, AR-15) prohibited (semi-auto handguns OK)

  5. All automatic and semi-automatic firearms prohibited

  6. Auto, semi-auto, and handguns prohibited (only manually rechambered rifles/shotguns allowed)

  7. All firearms outlawed except for military, police, and authorized armed security only

  8. Firearms for military only

Anyone that wants all guns outlawed, care to explain how that’s going to keep illegal guns out of criminals hands?

You know, the same way we keep meth and heroin off our streets.

The M-1 Garand! You have to squeeze the trigger for each shot. The worst problem we had with them was the M-1 thumb after you loaded the clip and released the bolt. That really hurt. After a long march the weight of that strap digging into your shoulder was painful. It was no pop gun like Stoner's M-16. We trained on WW 2 carbines, AR-14, AR-16 and the .45 ACP.

Geez! The comment by the kid is not poor judgment, the cop and the teacher exceed him for damn sure.

"The student used extremely poor judgment in making the comment,"

Sigh! I suppose we better teach raising a value to the .5 power instead so the kid don't get jailed.

Why do liberals distrust law enforcement in one argument, and then willingly give up their means to protect themselves in another?

What is really mind boggling about this, is that law enforcement has no commitment to protect the individual. At anytime, forget about all the time.

If we didn’t have guns, the cops wouldn’t feel threatened, so then we would never have anything to worry about.

His blatant racism gets a pass tho...

    My "boys in the hood"....

Beside the fact that there is no "hood" anymore because of gentrification, my best friend lives in Tigard, is darker than me, and got his tire changed by a police officer the other day.

MF only said that because I'm black and he shouldn't get to keep alt righting me... Fuck that. I'm tired of his shit.

One that you support every time an unarmed black man is shot.

I don't disagree. To me, it was pretty blatant. I cringed reading it. I understand why it upset you and generated the response it did. But it wasn't a rules violation, so there wasn't really anything I could do about it.

I can't stop people from being...the kind of person that they are. However deplorable that kind of person may be. But I get it...at least as much as I am able to get it.

Talking to my friends, they don't see the need to carry a weapon to feel protected.
I have a license to conceal and carry. But having a weapon and knowing how to use it isn't the reason why I feel protected.
    Oh I'm not a liberal.

What is the level of armament conservatives need to feel protected?
