I am telling you that Liberals focus more on poverty than the conservatives. You went ham on things that don't even relate. It's really silly! You bring up Trump, which is running for the Republicans but most would consider him being very liberal.
Well Mags, if you go to Trump's website and click on Positions he only has one up there and that is illegal immigration. He then goes into great detail about how illegal immigration is causing, contribution to and creating poverty for Americans. I haven't gone to any of the dems websites but I'm guessing they have more than one talking point / position. I really don't have to argue anything, so far Trump according to his very own website is only campaigning on one issue and that one issue has to do with poverty.
Reagan ran on the theme, "your best days aren't behind you, they're ahead of you." A direct appeal to workers and that their wages and overall lifestyles would be better. Rising tide lifts all boats and all that goes with it.
This is a great thing for America. Now lets see which party will actually put the money where its mouth is. and as this article eloquently proves is the Republican party is doing something new. As in, they weren't focusing on the poverty like the Democrats have been. Sly was proven wrong.
Um yeah! If you are going to use Trump as the focus here, you are seriously flawed. He has paved a new way for the Republicans to gain the general vote. That's why I support him and that's why he is popular
I also brought up Kaisch, 2 out of his 4 positions have to deal with poverty and poverty related issues. Is he a liberal also? So who are the real Republican presidential candidates? Name some and we can go to their websites and see if poverty and poverty related issues are a "top 5 concern" for them. I don't mind being wrong on this. I'm just not buying these sweeping generalizations that you keep posting.
Here you go sly.... http://www.gallup.com/poll/157607/half-americans-poverty-politically-independent.aspx It's okay... Being wrong isn't really bad... It just means you weren't paying attention
That actually doesn't prove me wrong. It supports exactly what I'm saying. Both parties campaign on reducing poverty. I'm not arguing that one party does it better than the other. Seriously, go and google Republican party platform for 1956, 1960, 1964, 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010, etc. THEY ALL ADDRESS POVERTY AND POVERTY RELATED PROBLEMS! Again, both political parties focus on poverty and poverty related problems. BOTH.POLITICAL.PARTIES.
More than 50% of independents are or lean republican. And there's 10% missing (50% poverty, 40% not, 10% something else?)
That doesn't prove me wrong. Again, it supports exactly what I'm saying. Both parties address and focus on poverty and poverty related problems. Are you even sure what you're arguing about?
The approach is not what you think it is. The Democrats support more welfare, while the Republicans support trying to build more jobs.
Being wrong is okay Sly... I mean you used the 10 states being red and was wrong about that. It happens... Even I am wrong many times. We can move along now
Not disagreeing with you at all. And I'm most definently not saying that the dems position and policies are the right ones. Mags made some very wrong generalizations that I have carefully and most definitely proven wrong.
And with that statement you just proved me right. Thank you. Again, and I'm guessing not for the last time, both parties focus on poverty and poverty related issues. And since you are now trying to change what my stance is let me be very clear, I'm not picking a side or saying one party's answers are better than the other. I am saying they both focus on poverty and poverty related issues. You were saying that the Republicans do not.
