You'll be surprised at the creativity of some fans in terms of their banners. Some are pretty funny but I agree with Ice. There's no need for insulting chants and banners. Besides, it usually pumps up the adrenaline of that player.

However, sometimes these things are unavoidable to hear/see, particularly when the announcers bring them out in thier commentary.
well I think calling the homecourt fans booing the opposing team unsportsmanlike is indeed a stretch. Unsportsman like conduct would be the fans throwing things at the opposing team,spitting on them and the like. Personally I think booing the opposing team is part of the game.
