Roger Goodall should be fired immediately. I just turned on the NFL Network to see a half-naked Usher singing something about "getting your *** in bed." I feel so sorry for any parents who might have turned on the show because their kids are excited about the start of the football season and wanted to watch the pregame show and got to see that crap. Now, I'm not downing Usher. He's making the most of an opportunity that has been given to him. I'm not a fan, but this is America. If you want to watch and listen to Usher, more power to you. The problem that I have is that it's not appropriate at an NFL event during the 6 pm hour. Personally, I would like to see the show actually focus on football, but if you have to have music, couldn't the NFL pick someone a little more kid-friendly? The announcers are making me sick too. You've got Mooch talking about how Usher is an athlete and Deion "Mr. Christian" Sanders announcing him for another song. Find a moral backbone, fellas, and take a stand for once in your life. Not a stand against Usher, but against "adult" music being sung at an inappropriate time. I wonder how old Mooch's youngest daughter is and if she's a minor, is he comfortable with having her watching Usher's performance. So, thanks Mr. Goodall, for turning the NFL into an adults only sport and ruining one of the best things that come from the NFL and that's parent-child bonding time while watching the game.

2. I wouldn't let a minor post here. I consider SportsTwo an adult site because of the content.

The subject of the thread isn't difficult to understand. It's about the NFL promoting adult music at an inappropriate time considering the hour and that there might be kids watching.

 

And I think it's hypocritical because you are parading around with an adult avatar at all times when kids could be surfing.

 

Not necessarily, considering Usher's target demographic. One could say this issue is the subjective perception of what is culturally acceptable.

Culturally acceptable? I was thinking more about age/hour acceptable. I never said that Usher shouldn't be allowed to do his thing. I'm saying that it's not appropriate for an NFL event in the 6 pm hour and without any kind of warning for parents. Most programming comes with rating boxes these days, but I don't remember seeing one during this program. I think "get your *** in bed" should earn some sort of PG warning.
