I haven't been inside my old school building since I graduated over 50 years ago. I wonder if it still looks the same. I did review my yearbook a few days ago. OMG, I looked like a young kid. Well, I was a young kid. I was so young that I started college when I was 17. Tried smoking a pipe filled with cherry blend. Then, on a dare, chewed some chewing tobacco which I threw up all over the bathroom. Not quite ready for manhood, I guess, although the Army cured me of that.

Where I grew up there actually are..midwestern rural town I grew up outside of is still mostly populated by the same kids I went to school with...some left and came back to stay...all over the world I've met locals who rarely leave a small area and if they do, it's rare. I've met so many New Yorkers who think the world starts and ends in New York City...Same with the village in Taiwan my wife grew up in...her neighbors from childhood pretty much all still live in the same houses. Hawaii is definitely a local culture and islands have this culture in general. I'm definitely someone who didn't do it that way

I moved around often for most of my life, then, I bought a house in Aloha and lived there 35 years. My wife and I scrimped and saved until we had enough money to buy a beautiful home in Lake Oswego. I guess we're going to have to live here another 33 years if we are to break our old record.Let's see, that'll make us about 135 years old. No, I'm not leaving it to you, Bodyman, not unless you do some major sucking up.
