It hasn't been there for 25 years, I imagine, but there used to be a pizza joint on 82nd and Mill, maybe (just west of Bridger Elementary) like "Oregon Pizza Co." or something. My grandpa would take me there once a week or so when I was in 4th grade, get the pepperoni with mushroom and olives and a pitcher of beer. We'd just chat. No beer for me. My aunt lives about a block from Stark Street, so that's where I've had pizza the last few times I've been in Portland. Now, on keto, I don't eat it. It (along with my homemade bread) is kinda my craving. Not beer. Not chips. Not even fruit or mixed drinks. Pizza.
I can't have avacado, it might stop my heart. I also can't have: Orange juice; chocolate; grapefruit juice; artichoke; banana; colas; whole wheat; oatmeal; nuts; too much fluid; spinach; cantaloupe; milk; cheese. There's probably more that I can't think of off the top of my head. All these products present a risk to my heart. Yeah, sucks, doesn't it.
No beer for you and I limit myself to about one which I usually have about once every two weeks. My dad never had beer when he was with me. I follow the same rule when I'm around someone under 21 who is having pizza with me. If you're under 21 and we have pizza together, that means no beer for me. I had an executive officer in the Army who was under 21 so I'm not sure if you are over 21. Well, sonny, are you under 21? Oh, don't be insulted, pretty near everyone, except ancient Marzy, is sonny to me. Marzy is more like 'pops'.
I can eat those but I don't like them on my pizza. Sly and hobbesarable eat pineapple and ham on their pizza. Ask me how I know. Hobbes will eat pepperoni, black olive and mushroom on his pizza, also. Ask me how I know. That's about all I offer at my house but you're welcome to it. I gots beer, too, and you don't have to limit yourself to one just because I do. Gots me a big screen TV and cable to go with it.
