You realize there's this thing called boxing out to clear space for others t9 rebound, thus helping your team rebound without recording a "rebound"? Are you not smart enough to realize that or are you blinded by your love for Ed? Guess guy must not have been a Robin Lopez fan. He was great at that.

Just a note of clarification, Buck never averaged "only about 8 rbg" as a Blazer during "good old days" of 89-92. His lowest average was 8.4. In addition, the team lead the league in rebounding 0 years during that stretch. Their best was 2nd in 89-90. They had about ~25 boards per game between Buck, Jerome and Clyde.

They were among the top 5 (+ or -) for a long time, with or without Buck, until the 99-00 team, which was middle of the pack. The teams after 99-00 were some bad rebounding teams (including a couple year at 29/30).

It wasn't until 13-14 that the team lead the league in rebounding (14 years!). And outside of the 41 win team 2 years ago, Stotts has had this team rebounding among the league leader every year he's coached the team.

In looking back at these figures I noticed two different things. It's almost been 30 years now since the 89-90 team, and the team has had a lot of mediocre seasons.
