Expected. It'll be interesting to see how he plays under Stotts instead of Nate. I'm sure we'll see a different iteration of Steve Blake this time around.
Im sure there may have been ways to try and go for someone a little better but I can say that I dont worry about Blake's ability to run the team sufficient for what we need.
kristen blake @kristenblake2 ยท Thank you for the welcome back tweet #RipCity and the well wishes #LakerNation! Excited for our new adventure!
Neither good, nor bad. The biggest positive I can think of is that I suspect he'll include CJ & Robinson in the offense more than Mo did. If the roster is now set, I don't expect us to improve on last season's accomplishment...unless CJ and/or Robinson take giant leaps forward. But I do think we have a better bench than last season. I also suspect that Olshey will make a mid-season trade to give us an extra push.
Olshey must be banking on some serious improvement from the likes of McCollum, Barton and Crabbe because on paper, right now, the bench isn't that much better. I guess Kaman is an improvement over Leonard/Freeland..but only offensively.
In an interesting twist I bet that Blake will take Mo's number #25. He was #2 with us before, #5 will the piss and purple and #25 with the Warriors.
For his job security, I hope this 'bank' pays off. It appears he has no interest in adding talent and improving something that was a weak spot the last two years.
What happens to Mo now? With the Parsons max contract offer, does this mean Mo can't sign with Dallas anymore for anything besides vet min? He shoulda just stayed loyal with us..
Howard won't make Kaman his bitch like he did Freeland. Anyone who didn't see this coming wasn't paying attention. It was mo or Blake the whole time. Kiss mo goodbye, this must mean they have faith in Barton and McCollum providing a spark off the bench. Blake will fit stotts system well.
