It might not be his only move though. If he can get a player that'll help us in a couple years and still get us a player or two why not do it?
I would be cool with Tyreke Evans, Ty Lawson, Brandon Jennings, Blair. I also would be fine with a vet. And yes, I will take a 35 year old Jason Kidd no problem at all. I don't really think we should get Andre Miller. Something about him doesn't seem like he would fit with our team. But Kidd would be money in the bank. I love all this excitement though, either way. I am pumped and cannot wait for tomorrow.
The FA list isn't terrific, but there are a few decent players. There is NOBODY available in the draft where Portland will pick that is close to being a contributor to the team. FA is the way to go this summer.
Lawson in the Lotto? Wow that's a leap. But I guess if you think a player is that good, you do what is necessary.
Because I don't believe KP will actually get another player or two. The only move he will make, if he does anything at all, is to move up in the draft and get some player who never has an impact on the team. Oh yeah, it will also piss off the coach. Don't expect Nate to be very nice to the next incoming rookie. Even less cool then he has been to the previous young players. Who ever KP drafts isn't even going to sniff any playing time next year.
I disagree...there are some players in this draft who could help POR... I agreee that POR could use a veteran or two, but there is no reason they couldn't look to the draft for a player or 2 either... POR will have at minimum 5 open spots on the roster next year (LaFrentz, Shavlik, Ruffin, Frye & Sergio), and depending on what they do with the SF position, possible 1 more....There is room to add a rookie and add a vet or two...
