Tell me about it. I live on McGillivray Avenue in Cascade Park, and we had a lightning bolt strike our apartment complex. It set every car alarm off in the parking lot and killed the street light 20 feet outside my apartment next to my car. That was pretty goddamn loud.
We get awesome storms here. Too bad i cant open windows though, bugs swarm in even through screens. Plus it's always hot as fuck.
We got jack shit here. The emergency broadcast system even came on to warn us about the storm, and I think there was like 1 distant clasp.
Yeah the Blazers and Thunder are combining teams and will be hence known as the Portland Thunderstorms
Portland should start a WNBA team and call them the women's blazers. Of course, the men's team should be renamed as well.
In the summer and fall in CO the temp raises the clouds up and over the front face to roll across the plains in the afternoon. You could set your watch to it from 4-6pm. We would literally hop in our car and drive and chase the thunderstorms.
...craziest lightning I've seen was while living in Miami (especially the shit that happened offshore)
The Portland Tail Blazers I believe Florida is the Thunderstorm Capital of the world. I could be wrong though. They have the most waterspouts of any place in the country though.
