I'm kind of done with Aminu, Mo, (Turner).

    One down, two to go.

It's a buyer's free agent market. Blazers should be able to sign a good fit on a team-friendly deal.

If the Kings are smart, they'll avoid doing business with Olshey.

    Oh, wait...nevermind.

I said that that 3 months ago and the whole forum said no, but now, it could be a realistic scenario

Yeah the demand for centers ain’t great and why would a team give Cousins a big contract over guys like Horford, Vuc, Valenciunas, or even Brook? He doesn’t make sense for a rebuilding team. But then again, it only takes one dumb team. Knicks, Lakers, the usual.

Seems like there are about 25 bigs competing for about half a dozen jobs out there.

I haven't checked the math exactly yet but what about a trade of Harkless and Leonard for one of:

    Mozgov
    Biyombo
    Mahinmi
    Tristan Thompson

Would any of those teams do that straight up if it worked? I think most of those guys the difference in money we save would be enough to open up the Full-MLE.

Say we traded Leonard and Harkless for Biyombo. It says it works on TradeNBA checker. It would save us $5.8 million next year easily opening up the Full-MLE. Now that we have Bazemore is that worth it?

At the deadline we could possibly combine Biyombo and Bazemore to get up to $35 million in expiring money going out too for trades.

I think Miami would do that deal. Makes sense for both teams.

You make it sound like our expiring deals for umderperforming players are a golden asset.

Shocking myself I think I'd actually prefer Kanter to Cousins. He's not worried about his touches, getting a max deal, going to the bench if Nurk is healthy. Plus all those injuries. I just don't see the upside, especially with our backcourt construction. We don't need high scoring offense with shitty D from our centers.

Yeah I'm similar. However if we trade away Harkless I'd be much more interested in bringing Aminu back. One of them is useful, but playing them both is a show we've seen enough of.

In that case, if Mo could stay healthy I'd rather keep Mo and let Aminu go. Also, with so many free agents available, I'm doubting there's a team that would rather lose an asset to acquire Mo than simply add someone from the scrap heap. Like Aminu, haha.

If we were able to dump Harkless into someone’s cap space, I don’t think we’d ask for anything in return, so it’d essentially be like signing a FA. The acquiring team would also get his bird rights, so it’d be a relatively low risk move.

i like mo and aminu as blazers, i just dont like them as our starters. especially aminu.

moe had glimpses of amazeballs, but it never really amounted to anything unfortunately.

I definitely want Kanter if we can get him on a reasonable deal. He's familiar with the team and he likes it here.

If not...Ed Davis would be easy to plug in again..and not expensive...I think Enes will find a way to stick around though
