Semantics matter. The problem with the English language, and probably with any language, is the nuances of meanings that often need clarification. I've seen huge arguments on multi Billion dollar projects because representatives of two major functionals misunderstood something. These were very high level meetings I was in and very important people representing Boeing Aerospace, Boeing Electronics, Boeing Computing and so on would get into fist shaking arguments over simple misunderstandings. Now, add to that the fact that forums such as this are even less clear that spoken language and you've got yourself a myriad of pitfalls. I've always been of the sort that says you can never make something too clear. However, in this case I thought it was being carried a bit too far although I don't fault the attempt. Your insight into this does have it's merit, so thanks for that.
