The Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves tried to initiate a trade that would send Ricky Rubio to the Bucks, but were unable to reach an agreement, according to Marc Stein of ESPN. Rubio has reportedly been dangled as possible trade bait as Thursday's deadline approached, but no team had been able to offer the Timberwolves an enticing enough package. The Bucks reportedly made a last ditch effort, but it was once again for naught. The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Jason Kidd had a piqued interest in Rubio, but the Bucks didn't have enough tools or were unable to part with their own stars to acquire Rubio. Rubio, 25, has a similar playing style to Kidd -- which may be why Kidd is so interested in the point guard. Rubio is a wizard with the basketball, but struggles with his shot. In his fifth year in the league Rubio is averaging 9.7 points and 8.6 assists per game.
