    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (panthersare#1)</div><div class='quotemain'>Ranman:

I think if Arizona doesnt land Alexander they will either draft Deanglo Williams or Jay Cutler to groom for the future.

I think Miami will not take a WR, they already have a good WR core in Chambers, Booker and Boston.</div>
Knowing Dennis Green he might also want to go after Edgerrin James, Jamal Lewis, or someone else if Alexdander gets signed by someone else. Everyone knows that Michael Bennett will be a free agent. Dennis Green was the one who drafted him for the Vikings. Whats stopping Green from picking Bennett up? Chambers, Booker, and Boston is a good WR Core? WTF are you smoking? Since David Boston has been in Miami he's played 5 games 4 receptions for 80 yards. In 2 years, if you want that kinda of production from your #3 reciever on your team go ahead. Marty Booker is a so-so player he's an ok #2 WR. Chris Chambers is a good #1 reciever for the system.

Predicting what a team is going to do with there pick is like predicting the winning powerball numbers. Some are close and some are way off course. Plus we don't know how the combine will move players up and down certain teams boards.

panthersare#1 why haven't you posted a mock draft? Atleast MKIV_Supra, Bakes781, and I have shown what we think will happen.

    I'll be posting 2 revised mock drafts;
One after the combine ends but before free agency starts.
And I might be doing another after the free agency buzz is over but before the draft.

Hey BA, I have a hard time believing why the Vikings would go for Maroney than Williams. Can you clarify that for me?

Simple, Maroney played his college ball @ Minnesota. Apparently, they have had their sights on him for some time.

My sleeper/steal of the 1st round Thomas Howard going to the Colts.

That and Williams won't be on the board but if he is the Vikings aren't idiots.. They're going to take Williams because he's the better back. The College has no effect on where players go at all.

Example: See Chris Chambers being passed by the Pack in 2001 in round 2.

I can't see Ferguson falling out of the top 5. He's considered by most experts to be the closest thing to a sure thing other than Reggie Bush in this draft.

Santonio Holmes is still considered the top WR. Even though Jackson may have closed the gap I don't see Moss & Stovall going ahead of him as well.

As much as I'd love to see DeAngelo Williams fall to the Pats I just don't see it happening.

My hope is the Pats are targeting a LB. Greenway & Hawk appear to be out of reach. Thomas Howard & Manny Lawson would be my top choices right now.

Yeah Ferguson would probably go to SF in that situation. He's too good to fall to #9.

DeAngelo Williams won't be the 4th back of the board. He'll go the Ravens or Viking if he falls out of the top 10. Maroney playing in Minnesota doesn't mean he'll go the Vikings.

Where's Santonio Holmes WR Ohio State?? #2 WR in this draft. I also think Antionio Cromartie should be in the first round ahead of Ashton Youboty.

Bunkley is a good pick for the panthers. Buckner is getting older and older and Bunkley is a beast in the middle. With Pope and Chad Jackson off the board they would probly go with a DT. The pick with the Colts, Thomas Howard was a good pick because Thorton might not be resigned and if he isnt they need a coverage linebacker, and Howard is one of the best.

I had thought about Fegurson going to SF but the Niners really need secondary help. Its not Ferguson's fault that he slipped that just the way I see it breaking down for now.

Cromartie in the 1st round after not playing in 05 because of a broken leg? I don't think so. It seems Ohio St always produces good DB's.

I did hit a bit of snag from 19 to 24. I debated on the Chiefs taking Chad Jackson as they need a #1 WR and to vex the Broncos.

Keep in mind, I don't have NFL network and can't watch the combine so I have to do research via the Internet and magazines.

Whoa Cromartie ran a sub 4.4 40 and his unique size for his speed as well. If he hadn't been hurt he would of been a top 15 pick. I have him going #19.. His offical 40 time was 4.39.. for those of you about to mention but NFL Network said...

Never! The Ravens absolutely love LenDale White. They want a a power running back with speed and size. He can break some tackles and get to the open field. DeAngelo Williams is more of a patient runner who need good linemen.

The cardinals are probly going to go for a RB in the draft, unless they can sign a great free agent back. The cardinals dont have any running game what so ever. Denaglo Williams would be a good pick for them at 10. If he is gone they would probly look at LenDale White or Marony.

If they do fill the hole at running back through free agency, i think they might try to get Veron Davis if he is still on the board because the cardinals have no talented TEs. Davis could make the cardinals one of the best passing games.

Another possibilty is a offensive tackle. Last year they had a DE starting at RT, so as u can see they really need some protection on the QB.

There is also Jay Cutler if he falls to the cardinals. Kurt Warner is getting older and older. Jay Cutler could sit behind Warner for one year and learn the NFL, then take over.

If the Cardinals take DeAngelo Williams that gives them 2 elusive backs and pretty much means they gave up on last years 2nd round pick J.J. Arrington. If they go LenDale White that gives them a power back and an elusive runner which gives them a great 1-2 punch similar to Pittsburgh. Why throw away their 2nd round pick? I think Williams is the better player but they don't need two elusive runners. They need a power back to go along with one already.

Why would they give up on Arrington after one year? It's not his fault for not getting decent yardage after their crappy offensive line. And he was also splitting carries with another running back by the name of Marcel Shipp. They have money to spend on some free agent backs. Heck, they could get some linemen in the draft and sign someone like Ahman Green or their rival Shaun Alexander.

Arrington is an elusive back much like Willie Parker. LenDale White is a big power back. Most teams in te NFL are looking at 2 solid RB's on their roster. Shipp is likely gone after this year and Arrington is likely a change of pace type of guy. They last in the NFL in rushing and need a big physical runner. LenDale White at pick #10 fits perfect if Cutler and Davis are off the board.
