Unfortunately, that's not very compelling for many people. It was compelling to me...

I think things like this will move a few people. But not the kind of movement we need. Not in any sustainable way.

That's not to make light of it. Solving the larger problems of universal access to education, healthcare, and limiting how far someone can fall via a strong social safety net would address this problem as well.

It should be explained how specific problems like this could be addressed by the overall solutions of increased access to education, healthcare, and improved social safety net.

Summary of what to expect. Pack critical appointments with unqualified and disqualified people. Unqualified meaning lacks relevant experience. Trump named daughter Tiffany's father in law senior advisor on Middle East. He is Arab- American businessman who owns car dealership and has no experience or expertise in diplomacy or Middle East politics. Disqualified people should simply be nowhere near the positions to which they are named: Tulsi Gabbard, Robert Kennedy, Pete Hesgeth, Kash Patel. None of this is accidental. Project 2025 calls for eliminating administrative state and replacing with loyalists so all power is uniquely held by one person, Trump. Who in fact is run by a small number of handlers for benefit of richest.
We all groan and joke about government bureaucracy but fact is most of the time it works. Mail is delivered, income tax processed, social security checks arrive, ballots counted, planes rarely collide midair.
We can no longer take this for granted.

    I love this forum.

    -Lost the electoral college
    -Lost EVERY swing state
    -Lost the popular vote
    -Lost the House
    -Lost the Senate

I am so entertained by the out of touch excuses elaborating on how it was ‘actually not that bad’.

    He hasn't, he's just trolling.

No one is saying it's not bad except the couple of trollers. It's bad. It's gonna be a shit show. The only upside is, now that the Republicans have complete control, once they destroy everything, they can't blame the Democrats.

You and the other guy misunderstood what i was saying, unsurprisingly. I was referring to people saying it wasn’t that bad of a loss, from a metrics standpoint. People suggesting a little tweak here or there on how the campaign was run would’ve changed the outcome of the election, or trying to blame the loss on the usual screaming liberal boogeymen like racism, sexism, etc. None of those factors were even a drop in the bucket.
The fact that the Biden/Harris administration was a complete clown show and disaster is too tough of a pill to swallow for a bunch of people who got gaslit into believing Biden wasn’t senile or the economy was good, among other things. They parroted the talking points and still won’t let go of them, so now have to point in other directions for blame.
The fact is, people who are capable of seeing plainly what’s going on around them did not vote to continue the Biden/Harris gaslighting circus extravaganza. And that’s a solid majority of people thank god.

It was one of the closest elections ever. Is what it is. Hopefully, the Dems bring a better candidate next time.

The candidate was very good. There were problems with campaign. Their positions were actually popular but not sold. They just didn't reach marginal voters. And this week two more parties in power voted out. General discontent.
Why is it when someone says better candidate, you know, like Trump was a great candidate, I can't help thinking they mean white male?

I think it was the second closest election since Gerald Ford/Jimmy Carter. Which is why your post didn’t make sense, unsurprisingly. Liberal “boogeyman” issues like racism and sexism? Yeah they are just made up problems, for fun. Pathetic.

Russia will continue to be happy with their boy. Russian state media saying they are delighted with Trump picks. Even if they aren't "pro Russia" except Tulsi Gabbard, their words, they are especially happy with Hesgeth and Patel.
