<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Wave:</div><div class="quote_post">In what case? Kidd leads the league in assists, there's no one else who can claim that but himself. He also averaged sixteen points and six 1/2 boards. He definitely deserves to be a first teamer over Marbury and Cassell. Also, don't knock Kidd for missing games. His injury has been out of his control, but he's still played over 60 games. Face it, Kidd is better than Marbury.</div> ^ Henacy basically just said everything I felt about those three players. Kidd has shot bad all season and I just think Marbury has meant more to his team and has done more THIS SEASON. I have no doubt in my mind that Kidd is the best PG in this league, but this award is for performances THIS year, and I feel Cassell and Marbury have performed better. EDIT: BTW Kidd only has a .5 lead on Marbury for that assists per game title this season, while Marbury is averaging over 4 ppg more than Kidd.

Baron Davis and Michael Redd on the first team over people like Kobe, Kidd, and Cassell? Won't happen.

Sampling of voters shows Artest favorite for NBA defense award <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">A sampling of voters for the NBA's postseason awards indicates Indiana Pacers forward Ron Artest will be named Defensive Player of the Year. Votes are not due until Thursday, but a poll of 24 voters showed Artest as the first choice on 19 ballots. A total of 127 media members vote on the award. Artest was runner-up last season to Detroit's Ben Wallace. He would become the first Pacer to receive the award. Artest appears likely to be the only Pacers player to win a major performance award. Al Harrington is in contention for Sixth Man of the Year honors but ranks behind Dallas forward Antawn Jamison in the early balloting. Jermaine O'Neal has received mention in the voting for Most Valuable Player, but Minnesota's Kevin Garnett appears to be the winner. O'Neal, a third-team all-NBA selection the past two seasons, appears to be a second-team selection this year. I almost had the All-NBA teams right, just switch Baron Davis and Cassell, and Starbury doesn't make it instead Ron Artest does.
I dont know about the Baron Davis one, He started off the year extremely hot for the 1st couple of months but after that he has had an injury filled, inconsistent season. I think Kidd, Marbury, Cassell all deserve to make the All-NBA teams before Davis. Even when Davis was scoring all those points at the beginning of the season his FG% & 3pt% were horrible. And he was basically going nut.But know one was questioning his shot selection at the time because the Hornets were winning. Once the Hornets started losing then people started to question his shot selection. But truth is he was going nut from the word "go" of the NBA season.
I had the 1st team right with the exception of Jason Kidd, I had Cassell in over him. I still personally think that Cassell should have gotten it, but, what do I know.
