Like when Phillip Rivers left NC State. Jay Davis had tremendous pressure to repeat his sucess. And even though he did alright, fans wanted him to be like Rivers.

I dont understand why some people think Charlie Whitehurst out of Clemson is so good. He threw 7 TD and 17 INTS. That is pretty bad. Ive seen some 2006 mock drafts and they have him getting picked in the 1st round.

He is very overrated. I think "thenextmelkiper" said he was a top 15 pick when I first came to that forum and I was just like :x :x :x couldn't believe it. He is a 3rd to 5th rnd pick if he plays decent this year. I think he can get back up. Right now. Leinart,Jacobs are my top 2 QB's next year. Brodie Cyrole of Bamba is a sleeper this year if he plays well.

Whitehurst would have to throw 50 TDs and like 4 INTS to be a 1st round pick. I thought Jay Davis was bad for like having as many TDs as INTs, but Whitehurst has 10 more INTS than TDS

Yea if he did that then we would be talking Heisman. I guarntee that don't happen. Whitehurst is very overrated right now but Clemson should be back in a Bowl game if he plays decent.

Marcus Haggans went 2nd team and I would take him over Whitehurst as a college QB. Reggie Ball had a nice year last and needs to build off of it with Calvin Johnson.

If I had to pick an ACC All American team this year it would be

    QB Marcus Haggans Virgina
    RB Leon Washington FSU
    RB Wali Lundy Virgina
    OL D Ferguson Vigina
    OL Eric Winston Miami
    OL Jeremy Trueblood BC
    OL Will Montgomery VT
    OL David Castillo FSU
    WR Calvin Johnson GT
    WR Lance Legget Miami
    TE Jeff King VT

    DL Mathias Kiwanuka BC
    DL Orien Harris Miami
    DL Manny Lawson NC St.
    DL Mario Williams NC St.
    LB D'Qwell Jackson Maryland
    LB Ahmad Brooks Virgina
    LB Rocky McIntosh Miami
    CB Jimmy Williams VT
    CB Tye Hill Clemson
    FS Pat Watkins FSU
    SS Greg Threat Miami
    K Connor Barth UNC
    P Ryan Plackemeier WF
    ST Devon Hester Miami

    that would make

Miami 6 maybe a little biased but I am more familar with their players.
    Virgina 4
    VT 3
    FSU 3
    NC St. 2
    BC 2
    GT 1
    WF 1

yea I was gonna put Ernie Simms but he has some legal troubles and Lundi is gonna be solid this year I think. Both went 2nd team all-acc in most of the stuff I've seen.

Im not so sure about Chris Leak being a number one pick, Florida qb's the past few years havent shown much in the nfl, it isnt too hard to throw the ball 40 yards down the field to a fast reciever and let him chase it like Florida teams do, you have to have some accuracy and think quicker in the NFL. Who is a decent qb in the NFL that has come out of Florida in the past 5 or 6 years?

No way he is the number one pick. I am trying to convince all the Leak hype as a pro prospect is false by fans. He is under 6" tall which is not good for QB in the NFL. Personally I think he'll go around the Rex Grossman range anywhere from 15 to rnd 2 pending his season but he should stay his senior year and work on his game if he wants to even have a chance of cracking top 15.
