The only thing I remember about Sasha was that when the season started I thought he was black...and when the season ended, he looked Irish...damn that Oregon sun!

Btw, I just remembered another foreign player who played for Portland. Sasha Djordjevic. I fail to remember much about him though...like he quit on the team or something?

In a way, he's the direct reason we are the team we are now... the original sin that led us here.

Yeah, I was spoiled with the 80-90's Blazers that made me a fan. There were a little "dark years" in the mid 90's, but at least we turned things around in 98. After 2002, it was rough man!

I became a fan in 1989-90, and got through the lean mid-90's years because Cliffy was my childhood idol. 2002-2007 were HARD.

It's like Paul Allen wrote an article on how prepare a fan base for a team to leave, and Clay Bennett read it and made it into a movie trilogy.

I was 23 years old when we won the championship in 77, now I'm 60 and I feel it's about time for a repeat

I've been a fan since early 80's....the 80's I didn't know any better. the 89-92 teams spoiled me, but also made me jaded.

The Gary Trent, Gary Grant, Dontonio Wingfield, Vincent Askew, Alton Lister, James Edwards, Tracey Murray, Elmore Spencer, Sean Higgins, John Crotty and PJ Carlesimo teams though. That was some ugly basketball after the 89-92 teams went to the finals and were fun to watch.

If it wasn't for Rod Strickland and Sabonis, I'm not sure I would've remained a fan. By the time the team took a shit in the 2000's, I pretty much only was a fan because of habit.

James Hollywood Robinson dunking over Patrick Ewing in New York was a season highlight.
