The punchable face is nice when he's on our team. Anything to piss opposing bigs off.

I thought Dame showed a lot of effort on defense.

    CJ not as much

Harkless is a better fit with the starters than Turner

Collins is twice as good as Leonar_, and still plays WAY too fast on offense

Swanigan looked good away from the basket, but his footwork down low needs developing

Nurk was once again Chuck Norrisesque

    Oh Pat.......

Layman pisses me off because he's a good basketball player, but you can't play him if the defense doesn't have to guard him

    Meyers is still hot garbage

Wasn't a huge fan of Briscoe's game. He has awful footwirk on defense

    Davis, Aminu, etc were solid

I really liked this starting lineup. The rookies did well. Leonard did well. Even in a loss, the potential of this team is evident. It's preseason, the starters didn't even play half time. We're good.

What I loved about the game was that I gained a new saying....

    "Swanigan, Score Again!"

totally agree with these. Collins looks like he rushes things on offense, especially dribbling. Unaware that people will knock the ball out of his hands easily. I think once the game slows down for him (in that regard) he'll be a solid contributor to the team.
Caleb looked like he was a 5 year vet, in a way. while the form is kind of odd looking, I almost feel more comfortable with him shooting it than Aminu, Pat, Jake and Turner.

Agreed about Pat and Jake. Pat actually reminds me of a friend of mine from grade school. Not that Shawn was athletic or resembled Pat's game in basketball, he just physically resembles Shawn in my brain. So when I see Pat playing, it makes me think of Shawn and how he just looked like someone who while playing basketball, sometimes looked like someone who had never seen or heard of the game of basketball.

Meyers wasn't hot garbage, but I think there was a little bit of the old Meyers creeping in there. I think he's still over thinking things (he might over think things for the rest of his career). He still looks stiff. It was improvement from last year, but considering Caleb and Zach were much more active and looked like they belonged, it made Meyers performance look so-so.

Caleb reminds me of a throwback 90s player. He's got that old school Elden Campbell/PJ Brown etc etc big man shot.

Nurk's post-up at 2:08 (replicated at 3:08) gets me so hot.

    Some fun things:
    1) Hard to believe that Damian didn't have a (consistent) floater coming into the league, now he's a master.
    2) Love Nurk's new game: Put a big dude on me? Hit the jumper! Put a thin dude on me? Post him up!

Collins and Swanigan really have contrasting games, it's interesting. I think we nailed it with our draft. This team is going to be deep and good in the front court. I'm a little concerned about our depth at guard, but Dame and CJ will play a lot of minutes anyway.

ESPN Gamecast had all of the stats throughout the game. I wonder why they can't just copy what they had from there.

I'm now officially on the Zach Collins bandwagon.

    Layman and Pat suck.

    Turner and Aminu stink.

Meyers was fine. His play was a relief, frankly. He'll make a fine backup some day.

Yep. Collins is a lot more quick and agile than Meyers. Combined with the fact Collins both knows how to play basketball and has good basketball instincts, two things Meyers has lacked thus far, and Collins will definitely pass Meyers. The thing is, I still maintain that Collins is a PF, while Meyers is a Center. I could easily see them on the court together.
