    our Rookie have a good performance,YI :17 points,2 reb,2 ast,Brook Lopez:8 points,13 reb,2 stl,3 blk,7 Off.Rebounds ,that's amazing.

i think Yi and Brook Lopez should be starter in new season.

Yi was impressive, his shot is so smooth, but i kind of new about that. What really impressed me was the fact that he was aggressive with his drives, that he was asking for the ball, and above all else is that he is alot faster then i would have guessed.

-Lopez is HUGE...nobody could box the guy out. He dominated the boards all game long. Offensively, he struggled for most of the game but as Dumpy said he improved later on and was important in the 4th. He missed some easy catches in the 1st half and looked kinda nervous, but I'll write those off as rookie mistakes.

-Yi showed a pretty mid-range shot and was hot in the 1st quarter. He was aggressive nearly all the time and really spaced the offense.

-VC was clutch in the 4th quarter and dominated in the first few minutes of the game. Great defense and effort, and he drove to the basket a lot (finishing off one drive with a dunk on Blount's head).

-Harris didn't do well and seemed to force up shots when they weren't warranted for. Weak game for him, except for short stints of the 1st and 4th quarters.

-Swift and Ager were decent. Both had their ups and downs but they played like solid 9th and 10th players.

-Anderson didn't play much but I get the impression that he has a very slow 1st step. We'll see if I'm right next time he gets major minutes.

-CDR was ok, as I said don't expect him to score 18 points every game. He closed the passing lanes once again and got some steals as a result. Also, he drove to the basket and got fouled a lot, which is a good sign.

-I've yet to see quality basketball from Bobby Simmons. He obviously has lost a LOT of athleticism, and his shot is off as well. He got schooled on D once by Michael Beasley, and so far CDR and even Yi are looking like better options at SF.

-The other guys (Hodge, Gill, Hamilton, Hassell) hustled a lot, played good D and protected the lead well in the 2nd quarter, even extending it at some points.

that was after the Yi/Lopez joint tip-in. Lopez got credit for the basket, but obviously Carter credited Yi.

Rebounding was the main thing I was worried about with Brook. Miami is a small team, but it's still good to see him grab 13 in his first game.

We'll find out what he's got left in the next two games against the Celts. I hope so far he's just been trying to get loose and letting the kids get some ink. Without Simmons we've got a problem at SF.

"Yi has a big game, and Brook Lopez records a double double. Or maybe they'll actually play today!"
