And Neil knows not to give up on players--people wanted CJ traded instead of Barton. Neil knew which one to stick with--if he keeps Noah then I have the up most confidence in him.

I read every word of your posts. I like quantity, not quality.

I read every word of his posts because I can also appreciate quality.

Ok, who's minutes will Napier get at guard? The kid won't play unless it's a blowout, or somebody gets injured

Damn. Boob always says "that" instead of "who" and you type "who's" instead of "whose." This is why no one comes close to me as the best poster here. Close, but no enchilada.

He should get playing time behind both Dame and CJ. Playing either of them with him (when the other one is on the bench) would give us much better ball handling, creativity and the offense would run better

There is a trickle down effect to that though. If Napier backs up Dame and CJ, then where does ET get his minutes? If you then play ET at SF ....where does Harkless and Crabbe get their minutes?

Napier will get spot duty, but you want ET in the backcourt with either Dame or CJ. It gives us more size. Our defense needs to improve in the back court.

That sounds all good, but then that means ET isn't on the court. Sorry peeps, I know he's looked good, but he is going to be a practice player. No way AC/ET sit so he can play.

I see ET as basically taking Gerald Henderson's minutes from last season...the real trouble with minutes is Mo and Crabbe..I don't know how Stotts will keep them both happy

How many min did Henderson average? I have a feeling you'll see ET out there a lot more than we saw Gerald.

Yep, I've been saying repeatedly since the Turner signing that he gives us a 3rd ball handler/distributor with much needed size. The lack of size is why Roberts and especially Frazier saw so few minutes while here. You simply can't play someone under 6' with either Dame or C.J. for anything other than spot minutes. Our starting back court is undersized by NBA standards, adding Napier to ether Dame or C.J. would make the back court undersized for a high school team.

Turner works with either Dame or C.J. because he can let them play off the ball on the offensive end and guard the opposing SG on the other end. You can't do that with Napier. He's just too small.

But, he's a great practice player. He will go hard at Dame in practice and force him to work harder on defense, which should carry over into the games. He's also cheap insurance in case of an injury. I hate to bring that up, but it's always best to hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Just under 20 MPG (19.9). Turner will get more playing time because he's more versatile and can play SF, SG and PG. Gerald was strictly a SG,

Yes injuries occur. And from what I have seen so far from Napier, I think we can get by with him and ET (or Crabbe for that matter) in the backcourt together off the bench.....if needed.

I guess if he only backs up Dame, and CJ isn't forced to play PG, that's already an improvement. Then Crabbe and Turner play 2/3 and Harkles and Aminu 3/4.
I've been saying for a while that we need a consolidation trade in the front-court and it's even more relevant with Vonleh's emergence
