    If they are truly trying to tank the Ariza and Ryan Anderson acquisitions make zero sense. They ridiculously overpaid for Ariza and took on Anderson's bloated contract without even getting a 1st round pick in the deal.

    Yeah the timing is weird, but their owner is kind of a dip shot, so who knows? Maybe he finally realized what a shitty job McDonough had done, or maybe frustration between the two if them finally boiled over.

    Like the quote said, they are bad enough to lose 50 games, but would have been better served losing 60 (again) and getting a higher draft pick.

    i liked watching the summer league games this year. (probably cause we never lost, lol) it was fun. chance to see the newbies.

    Pre-season is interesting as far as evaluating the young players and seeing if they might have a role.

    But Summer League is more casual, exciting, and fun. Hence, I enjoy it more.

    Having a tough time dealing with how good Harry Giles looks. Zach better show us something.

    In 22.5 mpg in 4 preseason game, Giles is putting up: 15/6/2/1 on 47% FG.

    If Vlade got one over on Neil, that is embarrassing on so many levels.

    Only knock against Giles has ever been his health. It was understood that he was a top-5 talent outside of his ACL tears. Identical to the Nuggets taking Michael Porter and his gimpy back at 14 this summer. If he remains healthy, Giles should be better than Collins. Him performing well would not be Vlade "getting one over on Neil", but simply taking a gamble that paid off--a gamble that many Blazer fans would have crucified Neil for taking.

    Look, bigs don't mature at the same pace as guards do. They take longer. Caleb stayed the entire summer- he's strong, he's had a great September. He's really, in terms of a guy who's made a jump...he's a guy who everyone of my guys in the front office breathe a sigh of relief because we didn't let him go. He's a 5,6, maybe even 7 year project. He's totally worth $40 million.
