Given that we had, what, 6 elite players switch teams over the summer it's hard to take this too seriously right now. But I think this is the only major power ranking I've seen that actually over-estimates Portland.

Don't let that preseason record go to your head - it's about as meaningful as our Summer League record.
A. I'm not letting it go to my head. I do think that it's a good sign though that the Blazers are building up double-digit leads on the competition in these pre-season contests. B. Somehow I suspect that if the Blazers' record were 1-4, a lot of folks around here would be caterwauling about how the pre-season record was a certain indicator of doom.
