Why? When has she even hinted at that? Huh? When? Cheer up, she's your next Speaker of the House. At that time, you may refer to her as Madam Speaker.
Sure, to think that the state with the biggest population in the country might actually have someone as a president - how can it? Also - Why do you hate Ronald Reagan so much?
Yes. We need more modern day California politicians running things. What could possibly go wrong? https://www.yahoo.com/tech/california-considers-charging-residents-tax-190318852.html
Almost everything has an exception but with 350 million people in this country we can risk skipping Californians.
You mean that state that has the highest population and yet somehow still had among the quickest growing economies in the country? https://www.businessinsider.com/state-economy-ranking-q2-2018-2018-6#8-massachusetts-44 What a crazy idea, putting people that represent a large population with good track record in charge...
Would you have been happy skipping Ronald Reagan? I don't see the wisdom in ruling out any group of qualified people whom the people want. I say, let's leave it up to the voters to choose as long as it's legal.
That's fine. Acting like the politicians in California are some kind of geniuses because they inhabit the prime real estate of the USA is the problem Move every single Californian to Wyoming and let's see what happens. I'm sure people will just die trying to move to Wyoming after it also becomes Heaven on Earth thanks to the Laker fans.
Maybe someone in Wyoming is better. How about letting the voters decide? Isn't that our system of government?
Your article points to 2 things: 1. There is a pension problem which is really from past generations and not one from the current leadership, 2. California somehow is not doing something to spur the economy to solve it. Pretty much every state has a pension issue of some sort - and it is a legacy of past politicians. California actually took some measures to reign it going forward (CalPers was ratified in 2012) Point #2 is disproved by my post about California's roaring economy - even if the author goes on a rant about some silly small law issues a nd how it impacts restaurant owners. Every state has- (it is illegal to lie on a sidewalk in Nevada for some reason, I saw someplace). I am saying that it is absolutely idiotic to say "never California" because of arcane tax codes - while ignoring the fact that it had worked very well in the last decade to crush the huge deficit it inherited from the past Republican governors.
