Me, too. Being afraid of what he MIGHT do vs. what he actually does is silly, IMO. I'll be first in line to criticize anything he does that isn't winning (for everyone).
There are people saying he's going to start a nuclear war. I think the odds of that are zero. I also think that's being afraid of what he might do. He gets to pick his staff. I don't like most of them, but my guy didn't win. We absolutely have to hold him responsible for what his administration does. I've said this before, that if he doesn't get his picks, how can he be responsible? I am hawkishly aware, too.
When I say I'm concerned, it's because of those nominees, not some knee-jerk conspiracist's fever-dream about the apocalypse. I have no doubt I'd be just as concerned about the hacks Hillary would have picked. Regardless, it's beyond our control. I suppose writing about it is my way of pretending that isn't true.
In spite of his picks, he seems to be saying the right things. He's outright said he condemns racism and racists. He's said he wants to be everyone's president. He's long ago backed off the idea of going house to house to evict "illegals." He's meeting with people who opposed him (Romney, etc.) and the other party (Rahm Emmanuel). The impression he is giving is that he really loves to make deals, and he's feeding his ego by making them for all our benefits. Nowhere near enough time has passed to make a proper judgment. The meeting with Emmanuel is an interesting one. If you take him at his word, he wants to help the inner cities and the people there. Chicago is a great place to start. It would be awesome if he came out and said he would shut down the spying programs. I hope he is gathering the information he needs to make that decision.
Well don't include me in that crowd. I've always been anti Trump this is true. But I've always been anti Clinton as well. I knew I wasn't gonna vote for her and, I knew if she lost I would deal with the "consequences" of not voting for her. One thing I will continue to do is hold Trump's feet to the fire and give him props when he does well. All of these deals Donald Trump is doing looks like crony capitalism to me. Looks like more tax breaks for rich people to prop up the phony belief that it will trickle down to us.
I'm not counting anyone here in that crowd. That crowd is the media and the twitterers who are venting absurdly.

I'm bigly surprised it took less than a month before his administration's first major scandal. Bigly ...
Pretty slick. Pence gets plausible deniability (and probably wasn't informed precisely for that reason) and Donnie gets left to twist in the wind, bumbling his way into impeachable offenses, until finally the GOP can remove him and take the moral high ground. I tip my cap.
Yes, because according to the MarAzul Doctrine, it's all part of Trump's plan. Anything that might look like a disaster was fully planned and unfolds exactly as desired... that will include impeachment, WWIII, and/or Trump's execution for treason. barfo
