FWIW: Longtime Trump business partner ‘told family he knows he and POTUS are going to prison’: report
I really don't want Pence as president, and neither do you. If you want republicans to pass things and get them signed, Pence knows the ropes. He's likely to the right of Trump, too. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot, and circular firing squads.
This might be relevant, too, since Schwartz claims it's Muller going to be the trigger. http://www.npr.org/2017/08/17/54390...-savior-the-anti-trump-internet-is-hoping-for
It most certainly would be saying buh bye ObamaCare. There are #nevertrump republicans. There are no #neverpence ones.
Yeah, impeachment is definitely not my favored result. I'd rather he continue to just muddle around, damaging the Republican brand for the next 3.4 years or so. Pence might actually be effective with a Republican Congress. Also, it'll be interesting to watch Pence run against Trump in 2020.
Luckily, congressional republicans are too scared to act even though they know they'd be better off with Pence. barfo
They'd be better off in terms of passing laws, most likely, but worse off in getting re-elected as far as their political calculus is concerned. The second matters more to them.
Not at all. They won the house, senate, and presidency in spite of ObamaCare and 2 years of progressives getting to do whatever they wanted. They won a lot of governorships and control of entire state governments. The losses while your kind were selling your ideas were one of the most stunning rejections in history. Hiliar ran on a 3rd Obama term and was beaten by Trump. Republicans' favorability in congress is absurdly low. Not acting on ObamaCare hasn't given them anything to that end. More like it really hurts them with their base. TL;DR whatever your kind is selling has been soundly rejected throughout the country.
Not sure what any of that has to do with my post, but yes, your team won. Enjoy the fruits of your victory. barfo
They're not too scared to act. McCain and the two others would flip in a heartbeat. They're #nevertrump. Get it?
It would probably be hard for them to replace the 30-40% of their base that would abandon them if they impeached Trump (just basing that roughly on the idea that about 15-20% of the overall voting base is probably locked in for him no matter what he does). Voting these days is mostly about base turnout--no Republican in this environment is winning Democratic votes. There aren't enough independents (like Denny!) to make up for loss of a large chunk of base (like Denny!).
Minstrel should bookmark this. So when he later wants to make shit up, he can refer to what really happened.
That doesn't even make sense, buddy. If I wanted to "make shit up," why would I need a bookmark to "what really happened?" By suggesting I bookmark this, you actually affirm my commitment to recounting events as they happened. That said, I think we'll all remember that you were a Trump supporter. No bookmarks necessary.
