i wouldn't classify it as "bad" we don't have any contracts that you need to attach assets to move. I agree with him.
"We know we have to improve the roster and we will" May have gotten couple words wrong, but that's a straight quote from Cronin acknowledging they dont believe this roster is good enough. Would've never gotten that from Olshey.
I appreciate that Joe still dresses like an intern -- guessing he's probably never used valet parking as well. He's ready to work!! Anxiously awaiting his first move...
Even nicer that they all look like they just spent the night at a poker game and have slept in their clothes......not a tie in the organization....I loved it. Joe looks like he scrambled to find a shirt with buttons on it and didn't even button the top two
One thing special about these 3 guys....not one of them is selling themselves to the media...they are not even trying to do that
Not alot of new info really, but still a great interview. I love Billups demeanor. Also dodnt know there was such a long history between Billups and Cronin. Played high school ball against each other.
Casey and Brooke had mentioned on their pod that the bball staff works out of the PF, the business staff works out of Moda and there is hardly ever interaction between the two. I don't know what it means to integrate the two and why it would matter for on-court performance, but apparently that is a directive from the ownership for Cronin.
I like the fact they are getting feedback from around the league on how things are done and dealt with including what happens after a star leaves.
My mistake. Fixed. But i meant the gm. I think that's a great thing. The coach and gm having such a long history.
Much better feeling about the mojo of the franchise now. Only thing is, they gotta follow through instead of just spouting empty platitudes like Neil used to do.
between what Dame said the other day and this conference, i feel better than i have since we first hired Billups.
I wonder who Neil Olshey reached out to his first day on the job and was told, "Just be you". Because, man - in his case, that was some sorry-assed advice.
