Hmm, is that why what? Is the graduation rate surprisingly high or low based on what I said? Also, requirements probably vary across the state.
I originally meant to say that it might be due to the stringent requirements you posted that 3 out of 10 kids don't finish HS. Then I realized that CA is 32nd in grad %, even with the really poor showings in some of the minority demographics. And that WA was worse. I don't have an answer, other than the fact that most kids seem to be dumb nowadays, except for the homeschooled ones.
I have no idea what the Republicans are thinking. They owned California in the elections, then went on a crusade against hispanics and drove those largely catholic/religious folks out of the party. They attack gays and just about any other group that isn't lilly white. It's political suicide. Republicans/Conservatives SHOULD look to their roots, party of Lincoln (freed the slaves, pro civil rights), voted for the civil rights bills of the 1960s in greater numbers than the Dems, etc.
Huh? When exactly did the Republicans "attack" hispanics and gays? Please show me some evidence of this. I follow politics quite closely, and I've never seen any sign of what you're talking about.
We live in a bilingual country, sorry. There are about 45 million Hispanics in this country, which is a hell of a lot of people to sell shit to, it'd be bad business not to accommodate these folks in their preferred language, whether it be English or Spanish. USA Number (Press) 1!
Prop 8 passed largely becuase the black communities voted for it in overwhelming numbers. Talk about irony.
Just as I thought, no one can provide any evidence of Republicans "attacking" gays and hispanics. This is how the Leftist propaganda machine works. Spread a lie around, and repeat it enough times, and eventually people will believe it.
DaRizzle are you trying to say that Prop 187 was passed by Republicans? Because I'm pretty sure California is now an overwhelmingly Democratic state. In statewide elections, it has voted for Obama, Boxer and Feinstein.
Do you really consider Schwarznegger a Republican? He's more of a RINO to me. Also, didn't he oppose Prop 187? And for the record, I don't think illegal immigration is a Democrat/Republican issue. I think it's more of a respect the law/don't respect the law kind of issue.
