The story of the first half was Shaqs foul trouble,so when that happened the Pistons are getting to the rack a lot easier. The Lakers better hope that Shaq does not get in any more foul trouble.
no way the lakers are gonna win. The Pistons have this one and the series all bagged up. Shaq and kobe are the only ones playing the game, and when one of them plays well usually the other suffers (IMO). If kobe shoots well shaq gets less ball, if kobe plays bad he takes bad shots and doesn't get the ball to shaq. either way shaq doesn't gte as much ball as he needs. go you pistons!
The Game Im watching this game and its 3rs q now and the refs are calling bullshit. Kobe is getting smashed and so is shaq and the refs arent calling it! If it doesnt turn around the refs might win the title for detriot.
This game is all but over. Lakers are done. The Pistons have dominated them completely, especially in the 3rd. The Lakers haven't been able to be consistent the entire night. They started off good in the first, and since then, have completly fallen apart. This series is over.
Its over, Detroit are your new champions! No way is LA coming back from 23 down in 1 quater, they've been outscored every quater as it is. We did it!
Congrats to the Pistons, the Wallaces, Joe Dumars, and coach Brown. The Pistons make great champs, and deserved the title. I'm pissed at the Lakers lack of desire and effort in this series. As I predicted the Lakers would quit in this game and get blown out.
Lakers got blown! I kept bulging my eyes when I watched it live, it's hard to believe but the Pistons have done the same thing throughout the series... they're incredible. The Pistons deserve the credit to win the championship, they show that hard work can surpass HOF talent. I'm very down, but at the same time, I'm happy for the Pistons and the city of Detroit. I was also proud the Lakers keep playing until the end although the outcome had been long decided. The Pistons: 2004 NBA champions! Congrats!
Congrats to the Pistons players and the entire organization. Joe Dumars did a heck of a job all season with drafting the future with Darko, getting Larry Brown, and made the trade that, in my mind, is the biggest reason they won, and that was the trade for Rasheed Wallace. But, about the game. I was hoping it was going to be a good game, and based on the first quarter and tiny parts of the 2nd, it looked like it was going to be. Then the Pistons just took control. Everything started going their way. They were getting every loose ball, everything. They hit on 51% fgs, something like that, held the Lakers to like, 39%, dominance right there. And, quite frankly, that was the story of the entire series. The Lakers couldn't do anything against the Pistons defense after the first quarter for the most part. It was over after halftime. Though I did watch most of the game, it really sucked. Being an avid Lakers fan and having to watch them get dominated. But, there is always next year. Hopefully they make some good offseason moves and I'll be looking forward to next season.
The Pistons really played great, and i believe that they shocked the rest of the world(except for Pistons fans ) Thye just played better Offense and Defense, and got the job done, and Larry Brown finally winning his 1st NBA Crown as a coach was sweet Congraduations Pistons
Well...I guess they did a whole lot better than people thought they would do when the playoffs started but this season still ended with disappointment. Maybe next year... Lakers 4 Life!!
