Glad I didn't watch this one, I watched the Clipper game and I don't think I would have been able to take two miserable losses in one day. The Lakers disgust me from what I saw in the highlights, had many chances at that game winning basket but couldnt come up with anything. After watching those highlights I get to see the Clippers get a 5 second inbound violation with seconds left in the game and only being down by one... Good day.

Man, I knew they would take them lightly. But still didn't expect them to lose. Atlanta, man who do they have. Regardless of them not having Kobe, they still should've of destroyed them and play with as much intensity. GOOD LORD!

Yeah I hope they really learn their lesson this time, not just saying it and not doing it. Gary spoke to the reporters at the end of the game, saying they had to learn from this loss, but it's left for all of us to see.

Wow I dont know how we lost, Shaq should of had more touches, GP had a great game, I think GP can play like that even when Kobe is in the lineup, he just passes up a lot of shots.

    Whoa whoa whoa...

SLOW DOWN! The only guy that should be cut from this list is Devean George. He hasn't been the same since the fist half of the season. Derek Fisher is still adjusting to his role off the bench, and why would you fire a man that has 9 rings on his fingers and soon going to break Red Auerbach's record? I know you're upset about this Atlanta loss, and I am too, but you just can't say these people should leave L.A.

I think it was very embarrassing the way the Lakers went down last night. The 19-40 Atlanta Hawks? Even though Kobe was out in this one because of legal issues, there should've been no excuse for this loss. I'd expect with Kobe being out, they go to Shaq and take advantage of the small Hawks frontcourt, going 11/20 for 23 pts isn't that bad at all, but he really should've touched the ball at least 40 times last night. Gary payton's triple-double was a good stat to look at, he himself took 21 shots, but he claims that he's not a big part of the offense, and this would've been a perfect night to take out all his frustrations and just destroy the Atlanta Hawks. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. Now the Lakers go from the East Coast to the Midwest to play Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets. Now, the Rockets are 2-0 against us this year, Yao Ming outplayed and dominated Shaq in the last meeting, and whenever the Lakers play back to back games on the road, they always get blown out. So my question to the Lakers is, can they make a statement in this one, and rebound after a gut-wrenching loss?

It's funny though, I can't even take this loss seriously. NO Kobe and we still lose to the Hawks? Tried to tell ya'll, Kobe is the MAN.

And just for the record, it looks like the Hawks just go around only beating the good teams. After all, they have taken down both Minnesota and San Antonio this year. [IMG]</div>
another player all on kobes d*** hes not the man!

So when all Laker fans say Kobe is the man, we all ride on his d*** right? Why don't you take time and actually watch Laker games before you come in here and say something that is so ridiculously stupid and pointless.

And if you watch the games, you will see that Kobe is often the man. Hell, if Kobe gets more rebounds then Shaq, which he does do now and then... that's... -filtered-ing sad.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting worldchamps9903:</div><div class="quote_post">should popovich be fired? i think so. a loss to the clippers is a huge embarrassment. Its the clippers!!! the spurs shot poorly and it was probably cause a lack of practice. coach pop should fire up the spurs and create a good mental state so the spurs could beat the lakers. thats what phil jackson did to his lakers! thats why we lost in a blowout. the lakers will eventually try to kick us while were down but if pop fires up his team we might have a chance. but he probably won't cause he sucks. the other day against golden state, what did he do he gave up!! half the players that were on the court in the final 4 minutes or so were bench players!! where was bruce bowen? he could have shot a three and might have won us the game! where was robert horry the "spurs killer"? he could have done the same. its all up to the coach and thats why pop sucks!</div>

Actually, if you ask me, yours was a lot worse because you were saying this in the first half of the season.
