^ Doug Collins said it was 4 in 2 minutes and the 6th came about 8 seconds after he came back into the game... lol gotta love the refs.
Wow, what a game. The Wolves choked in the fourth quarter but pulled it together in the fourth to win it. What a great game. Back to back devastating losses for the Kings. They may have run out of gas after this one.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DajuanWagner#2:</div><div class="quote_post">Wolves by 1 in overtime! </div> You hit it on the mark. Great game, I won't complain about the refs or nothing.
1st off I repeat what I said early sad day for the NBA imo. The refs clearly tried to influnience the outcome of this game & possibly this series. In no way do you put 5 cheap fouls, on a guy that means so much to a team especially all in the same quarter. If Cassell is in the game there is no doubt the Kings would not have went on that run. The 6th foul on Cassell was the worst tho. And the cheap and 1's the Kings were getting still blows my mind. The only legitimate and 1 they should have gotten was on the Peja 3 in the 4th. But on to the game.... KG came up like an MVP tonight(as he does most nights). He put this team on his back in the 4th & overtime. He got to the line when he needed too. He drop in the post when he needed too. And that last shot that put the Wolves up by three was huge(by the way the Ball dont lie, the basketball wasnt going to let the t-wolves lose after they got jobbed in the 4th. Thats why the Basketball danced up on the rim so long then finally went thru. KG was having alot of trouble in this series making that little fadway jumpshot at the top of the Key. But the Ball told the truth, it knew the wolves were the better team tonight). But big game by the League's MVP. Next up is Sprewell. This is the Sprewell that the Wolves are going to need to advance in the playoffs. He did an excellent job of not settling for the 3 tonight. Even when he had an open look from out at the 3pt strip, he didnt settle for it. He did an excellent job of getting into the lane & mid-rande area, that is where he is most effective. But Fred Hoiberg & Trenton Hassell get the game ball tonight imo. KG is the MVp, he is surpose to do what he did. And Spree is a all-star level player, so big games are expected of him as well. But Hassell & Hoiberg did any an everything to put the Wolves in position to win tonight. Hassell defense on Peja on one end of the court. And then getting into the lane & knocking down what seem like every open look on the offense end. And Fred Hoiberg stretching the defense with his outside shot. And his hustle/defense. Those two combine for 30pts. You can not ask for anything more from them. Also I would like to give a side note to Derrick Martin. I think for him to come in straight off the bench. And go 3 for 4 from the line in such a big spot was huge. If he would have went 0-4 or something like that the Kings would have won this game in regulation. Not alot of players have the guts to step to the lane fresh off the bench in that situation. I guess he felt comfortable because he had been in that situation late game in Arco, when he was a member of the Kings. But anyway Great team win by the Wolves tonight. The Wolves are in great postion to get both games now. Should be an interesting game 4 on wednesday. I think if the Wolves win on wednesday, its hard for me to vision this series coming back to Arco for game 6.
absolutely amazing game.. it was so beautiful to watch.. KG put the team on his back and boy did he look like he had great focus (except when he fell over n travelled to turn the ball over in crunch.. which they could have called a foul but i wont go on about what i think the officiating was like). Spree had 25 points 9 rebs 6 assists for a nice game after starting out very cold.. my pick of the game must go hassell.. this guy really is a superb player for the wolves. His defence night after night is consistent and needs apraise, however he's contributed on the offensive end the last couple games which is a huge bonus for the wolves.. Ive tried to have faith in kandi man but honestly im losing hope. He comes on, disturbs the offence with his one move offence which is rarely successfull, picks up a few fouls n leaves.. which is why i was relieved to see madsen in there who always gives 110%, see his 2 jams 2nite!!.. ooh boy i dunno what to think right now.. im so glad wolves fought this one out yet very dissapointed they couldn't hold onto the lead. well a w is a w. good work wolves. amazing game to watch.. now for game 4!
What a game, I was on the edge of my seat throughout all of the OT. Some questionable calls just added to the tension. Kevin Garnett showed why he was MVP, 30 points, 15 rebounds, 5 blocks, 3 assists and 3 steals with just one turnover. He was huge in the game, and picked up for Cassell. Fred Hoiberg was great for the Wolves off the bench, going 4-8 from 3. This would of been an extremely tough loss for the Kings, it was at the Arco and they thought they could pull of the impossible and it came down to the last shot. They will have to win the next one or they are in a big hole. Peja started off cold, then went onto to to be the biggest part of the Kings turnaround.
I'm sorry AllNet & Rudeezy: I didn't quite get that stuff about KG not being clutch and all. Could you reapeat that for me once more?

So really your theory isn't quite on track. Garnett did hit some big baskets including the one with 10 secs remaining but he needs to do that game in, game out...demand the ball more. He needs to do it consistantly for me to make such statements that he is a clutch player that wants the ball at the end of games.

For most of the time he was harrassing Bibby to pass the ball and take contested shots. If he had not been guarding Bibby this game probably would have went Sacramento's way.

Great game, Timberwolves is going for 3rd round, they will defeat what I will call the second hardest team in west to beat, and meet Spurs in the west finals. Then, only the future will tell who goes to the finals.

But I always mention Spree's defense in my post game comments. I got caught up in the fact that he broke out of a somewhat offensive slump.
incredible game. wish it didn't end at 2:00 in the morning though. it is such a great series that they should be earlier so the east coast can actually watch from start to finish.
Wow, great game, but I wish we could have just clinched it when we were up by 14. I can't believe we let them back in it like that. Everyone seemed panicky after a couple threes. We should have been calm and kept everything under control, but once we lost Sam, everyone went into shock. I'm just happy the game ended up in our hands, but I wish it would have ended a little earlier. And that was disrespect by the fans at Arco, throwing stuff on the floor like that. That is no way to act, this isn't a Cleveland Browns game. Learn how to be responsible citizens. I'm surprised they weren't escorted out of the game after that. I think they had to stop play three times because of people throwing crap on the floor. We were lucky, next time we won't be lucky if this happens again. So let's not let it happen again, lets keep a lead.
Just a great game by both teams. Both of teams played very hard until the end but there can only be one winner. And that was the Wolves. I was a bit worried when Bibby and Peja both got hot and made huge baskets, like the same thing that happened to them in game 2. But there was some bad calls by the refs. They gave Sam five fouls in less than 6 minutes. Alot of them were questionnable. This was a huge game for Peja. He was struggling in the playoffs before but in the 4th quarter and OT, he really stepped up big and made huge baskets and made almost every shot. KG was playing like a true MVP in overtime, even if he was starting to get tired, making a big shot to win the game. He had a all around game. He got the team blocks, steals, rebounds, points... He played to point guard in the absence of Sam who was fouled out. Spree was a big reason for the win. He started slot but started heating up in the 3rd quarter, I believe, and started a run when Sam, getting a rest and KG, had 4 fouls, were on the bench. He made a big basket in overtime too. He did a great job guarding Bibby too. If it wasn't for him, Bibby would of had a big game and would have been hard for the Wolves to win. Hoiberg was a great spark off the bench and made 3 pointers and everything. He also played great defense. The team trust him alot and that helps alot. He gives the team shooting and is a underrated defender. He has been a great help and stepped up for team in the absence of Wally. Trenton was truly great. He didn't only play great defense. He also helped on the offensive side for the team. He has been a valuable player to the team. He partialy blocked the possible game winning shot by Peja, who was hot, to seal the win. Other players who helped alot would be Mark and Ervin. Mark gave the team alot of energy and hustled. Ervin like in game 2 helped start the game by getting some points and some 2nd chance points. It was a overall great performance by the team. But one thing that I disliked was the King fans throwing things on the floor. That is no way to act.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DajuanWagner#2:</div><div class="quote_post">Wolves by 1 in overtime! </div> you got a crystal ball or sth? you could have gone to the lotto and win thousands of dollars.. congrats! Congrats to Timberwolves who were playing instead of choking in the unbearably tense game...
