<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Emo:</div><div class="quote_post">The reason why they're much more special is because these two men made huge sacrifices in their salaries to come to a winning team and win a championship. And in today's sports society where having huge bank accounts is a tremendous plus, what other guys would go for that?</div>

I think thats rather sad. Everyone knows how arrogant and egotistical Karl Malone is.. and it just goes to show to what extent he will go to win a championship.. take a massive paycut, play dirty (nothin new to him), watch shaq n kobe work his way to his first ring.. His time is up.. over and done with.. you don't see pat ewing quickly leaving the knicks to jump the lakers bandwagon.. nah.. he wen't out like the warrior he was, he did everything he could in his power and either way will go down as one of the greatest centres of all time AND not to mention the greatest knick of all time. I know all you laker fans will be quick to reply defending your "dynasty team". What im trying to say is why would you want a laker team to win another championship for Malone and Paytons sake.. they had there chance like many greats and couldnt cease the moment, and there are many other greats who couldnt get one either. I still have respect for shaq daddy.. maybe a little for kobe.. and as for Malone.. well i never really did have any for him.. if worst comes to worst he can always afford to have jacob the jeweller custom make him a ring?

It's because their times are "over and done with" that they've accepted their greatly diminished roles on that team. And what's this about Patrick Ewing? Have you forgotten that he left the game in rather embarassing fashion?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Undertakernv:</div><div class="quote_post">Not to be rude or anything but doesn't being on top include getting into the playoffs and winning a title. LJ is a long way from the top. Maybe the top of his team but no where near any of the stars that are playing in this series (Kobe , Shaq, KG, Payton, Cassell, etc.).

The Lakers played very efficiently in this game but their game needs a little tightening on the offensive end. Some of the turnovers prevented the Lakers from taking a huge lead in the beginning of the game.</div>

I'll be a little off from topic Game3: What I meant by LeBron being on top was when he was still in high school, that he must have felt on the top of the world. Remember? ManKid tore all the high school competition and he was already projected #1 pick since his junior year. That spoke volume of his game and we're not talking about #1 pick CBA, or NBDL or WNBA, it is #1 pick NBA... assured to cash in hundreds of millions and if all these didn't make a high schooler feel like he's being on top, sth's really wrong with that kid, even if that's LeBron.

Sure, now that he's in the NBA it's all a start again... if he carries the Cavs to the playoffs (which he will soon) or win a championship (which is not so soon), it'll top everything all those feelings. But this is what makes LeBron James great, when it seems he has reached the sky he goes beyond it to the outer space... he keeps growing. If that's difficult to understand, here it is: do sth that you're good at (anything, I dunno  ), master it, be on the top, and TRY TO STAY THERE, BEING ON THE TOP. Experiencing it yourself just will make it easier to understand, for sure.
