I didn't see any highlights, but on ESPN where it shows the scores i saw that LA lost by two and Kobe dropped 44. Like Purple N' Gold said, it seems tha CLIPS were to much for Kobe.
I didn't have a chance to watch the game, but as I read the stats, the Lakers are in some serious trouble. Even though they lost by just 3 pts, with our injury-depleted frontcourt, how many more games will this team win? Kobe Bryant played very well. 44 pts in 40 minutes, and he helped the Lakers to stay in the ballgame throughout. Gary Payton though only scored 10 in 35 minutes?? With Malone and Shaq out, I'd think that Gary would want to team up with Kobe and take a high number of shots to keep the Lakers in a big position to win the game. They're only 2 of the 4 stars we have right now, so I hope Gary can step up more. Devean George 0 pts on 0-8 shooting? What's going on here? Horace Grant played his longest minutes of the season and he only contributes 8 pts? And I won't say too much about Slava because clearly he is only good for inside shots and rebounding, I never have confidence in him shooting a outside shot and making it. The Laker defense is just clearly struggling. Our past 2 losses have just been horrible in terms of points allowed to our opponents. Something has to change or else we'll just have to keep looking up at Sacramento in the standings.
