<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 30 standing ver:</div><div class="quote_post">If Shaq could hit 68%, he would've avg. 30+ points for his entire career. These games wouldn't be so close so much of the time, and they gotta play with intensity all of the time. Man, championship teams always get bored of the regular season, but the Bulls always won in the 60 win ration during there run. Lakers slack off to damn much, and Shaq could atleast hit half of his FTs.</div> i know man, shaq needs to make those free throws. it looks like he's not working hard on his FT's that hard, there's no improvement. i don't think he's a hard working athlete, his figure shows . yeah, his strong and dominates but still need to work on his "free" throw and lose weight. anyway, congrats to the lakers for finally winning against rockets this season. kobe showed what a clutch player he is and fisher's free throws are too damn big points! hehe
Excellent win last night for our Lakers as we rallied from a 15 point deficit to come back and defeat the Houston Rockets 96-93. In the first quarter, I felt the Lakers came out on fire, we shot 70% from the field, and it looked like with the way everybody was in a consistent rhythm, that the Rockets were soon going to witness a massacre. But then in the second half, we went into our typical offensive slump..and what else is new? Shooting only 15% from the field. Finally in the second half, our defense was still very sluggish, we allowed a lot of easy baskets to Yao in the post while Shaq was out with foul trouble, and Yao completely took advantage of that. And about four alley-oop plays that was just so disgusting to look at. But finally the Lakers in the fourth quarter made a huge 11-0 run which was made courtesy of my rookie favorite Luke Walton with his back to back clutch three pointers. And I can't forget about Gary Payton who canned that huge 3 pointer late to put the Lakers up by three. But the biggest shot to me, and I think to all of us was Kobe dribbling up to the perimeter, and hitting that huge shot over Yao Ming. It was finesse, it was indeed vintage Kobe at it's finest. And that Mutombo like wag of the finger was excellent to see too. This was an excellent road trip, although I'm still pissed at that Atlanta loss, but it gives us a load of confidence as we finally head home to Staples to play Seattle this Friday.
