<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Purple N Gold:</div><div class="quote_post">With that statement....someone doesn't watch Laker games. </div> Actually what he said was true, we've only beaten the Warriors, Blazers, Sixers and Suns since the All-Star break.

I meant it as in if you watch the games you can tell the Lakers are playing a hell of a lot better than they were in the 1st half, regardless of what teams their playing.

With the way Kobe, Shaq and Gary are playing, I think they can beat any team in the league right now.
Did you know that you can be a Laker fan without being optimistic about everything? The defense needs serious work.
This argument about beating below .500 teams will just have to wait until Thursday---when we host the Kings!
What a performance by the Lakers yesterday afternoon. The Lakers dominated the Suns in the first quarter, with mostly every starting player on the floor contributing with points, but in the second quarter, they played sluggish and sloppy and allowed Phoenix to get back in the game. But in the second half, it was all Kobe Bryant. Is it safe to say he's back now? 40 points on 15/25 shooting. And what an excellent display of his outside shooting, penetrating to the basket and hitting tough awkward shots, and being a playmaker. Feeding Payton and Shaq the ball on some of the Laker possessions. Now, the ultimate challenge comes against their rival the Sacramento Kings. We're now at a 4-0 record and have beaten teams below .500, (Warriors, Blazers, Sixers, and Suns) If the Lakers can repeat their consistent gameplan, and play the way they've been playing these last 4 games, they should be able to blowout the Kings. And Thursday night fellas is the statement game.
With Kings being without Miller Webber Jackson I don't see how that game will be a statement game at all, wait til both teams get heathly
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">With Kings being without Miller Webber Jackson I don't see how that game will be a statement game at all, wait til both teams get heathly</div> Please, the last matchup in Sacramento, we were without Shaq, Kobe, and Malone, and these SacTown fans took the win like it was everything to them. Now with the Kings having injuries to their key players, we take this one as ultimate revenge. As long as we beat this team, and we see Bibby, Christie and Co. head back to their visiting locker room with a sad look on their faces, that's all we care about.

Who It's against doesn't matter. If you think beating a Kings team without their best 3 players to some kind of accomplishment then go ahead. Any natural fan will realise with those guys out the game really means nothing. Just like the game when Shaq, Malone and Kobe were out means swat..

Then maybe you should've been at Arco Arena with all those lunatic fans with the cowbells chanting BEAT LA with them. It meant nothing to them??? Also, try talking to sactown_dyme about that. I don't care what starting five goes out there for the Kings, I'm still gonna be juiced for my Lakers to go out there and destroy them. Like I'm really going to have pity for their injuries. Give me a break. I hate the Kings, I dislike their organization, and if the Lakers can blow them out, and rattle their minds in the biggest way possible, that's the best day for me as a Laker fan.
whoever said we havent beaten a team over 500 yet....we can only beat who we play, and I am guareentiing (sp) a victory on Thursday against the Kings
Don't get too confident. The Kings always play good ball, regardless what players are able to perform.

Please, you can be a Laker fan and still recognize our present shortcomings.
