Great finish. I didnt catch the first half because I was still sleeping and forgot the game was on early today. I thought about going back to sleep when we were getting pounded in the 3rd. Glad I stuck around to see the whole thing. That finish was a thing of beauty.
Wow great game by Luke , D Fisher and the rest of the second unit. Fisher really came up big. I am surprised the Lakers didnt go to Shaq more, when GP came in the game they forgot about Shaq. Rod Strickland just made a mistake but it was great agressive defense by Fisher. It just amazes me that the Magic cant even get the ball to T-Mac at the end of the game. If they get him the ball its an automatic two if they play him one on one or if they double him open shot . What does Gordon Giricek have against T-Mac , he never gives it up to T-Mac , maybe its cause they had a fight at the start of the year. Shaq and T-Mac are the two most underrated playmakers in the league. Shaq is such an unselfish guy. You have to double him with his power and skill everytime. And if you do its a wide open shot. Kobe , GP and the rest of the LAKERS need to realize that if they go to Shaq everytime they would be such a great team. On the other hand T-Mac has unbelievable handling, and passing ability , he can pass on the spot. And its not flashy or anything, just perfect passes.(Unlike Lebron and J-Will who always try to do something fance with passes) I know this is overdone but who would you guys take T-Mac or Kobe. Put aside the Legal issues.

Proven winner, and a better clutch player. He also doesn't have back trouble at such an early age like T-Mac does.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Phreeze:</div><div class="quote_post">What the hell!??!?! another early game... I just woke up less than an hour ago and now I find out the game was over... dammit!!</div> ?? Me too!! The game is over? lol, these games aren't good for West Coast viewers...
man Giricek should be out of here...T-Mac was so mad..same as me , I cant beleive he didnt pass the ball he got blocked twice and didnt pass the ball...I feel like trading Giricek if I was T-Mac ill ask for that ...he lost his best friend on the team( Mike Miller) for him and gooden ..ok you understand is to make the team better but now you are a top 3 player in the league you are open , homecourt , national tv , against the lakers..and you dont get the ball??????????????thats just b/s ...it was a bad coaching decision T-Mac needed to sit down starting the 4th until lakers starting to make a come back..Magic's defense gets all messed up when T-Mac is not playing defense...thats what happens with JD as a head coach..he is not a head coach... anyways , everybody will take kobe over T-Mac... just because Kobe has the opportunity of playing with Shaq...you get more fans by winning championships..and you are better if you have guys like shaq in your team..but I still think T-Mac is better than Kobe..talent wise.I dont want to start an argument or nothing but...

Two great great players. Kobe is a winner though. But I wouldnt say in a heartbeat. T-Mac has the advantage in that you can run the offense through him. George Karl said at halftime that T-Mac was the best player under 6'8 . He basically meant besides Shaq , Tim Duncan and KG.
I thought Fisher's steal could have been called a reach, but it was a nice defensive play. I liked the way that bench players got experience from a tough situation, but the Lakers had no business being down the much to the lowly Magic. However, chalk up a W for the Lakeshow on the road! Oh and for anybody thinking T-mac is better than Kobe, I think the answer is NO! And let's not start another argument about this, because we each have our seperate opinions and nobody is gonna win. End of story.

I pick Kobe, and I wouldn't forget about the back problems if hes 24 and has already had to miss games for it.
Luke Walton took over in the fourth with his passing. This kid is talented and if it wasn't for him and the second team the Lakers would have lost. He plays so unselfishly that he is becoming one of my favourite players on the Lakers
I swear, the Kobe/T-Mac argument will never end. 30 years from now, there'll still be people arguing. :biggrin2: The Lakers' bench played well today. IMO, this is the best bench we've had since the first championship. The Lakers no longer need Shaq and Kobe (and now Payton) to play all 48 minutes because Phil can now count on players like Luke, Rush, and Fish to hold the fort.
I agree. But they were exploited today. They need to get better defensively and learn how defend the pick and roll better.
Woah, very exciting. I can't belive I missed it, well you gotta give credits to rick fox for hitting that three =).

You take the JBB award for 'Most Biased.' I didn't catch the game, but the forth quarter box score says it all. The Magic were outscored 31-15, sad.

I just want to put my two cents on this Laker win real quick....What a comeback win for our Lakers, but I am very dissappointed that we had to struggle against this team. Just like what Shaq said in the end, we should've beaten this team by at least 20 points. I must give credit to the Lakers second unit. Derek Fisher, Kareem Rush, and Luke Walton with his amazing vision and style of passes. (especially the one when he went under his legs) I also can't forget Rick Fox for hitting that clutch 3-pointer to tie the game at 96. And Gary Payton's containment of Gricek in the final moments? Very impressive. He isn't called The Glove for nothing. Hopefully with this win, it can give us some confidence going into Tuesday's showdown with Miami. Kobe should be returning for this one, and it'll also be my 19th birthday, so I hope they can deliver a good birthday present.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">T-mac ain't 6'10'' man...He's 6'8'', maybe 6'9''..</div> T-Mac has stated that he's listed shorter than he is because he wants to play 2-guard and not have to guard 6'10" guys that are 240-250 lbs.
