Lakers are having a lot of trouble getting defensive boards right now...Voskuhl and Johnson are playing really well...Lakers need to convert their freethrows
Congrats to Fish for his 500th game as a Laker. The Lakers are down by 1 with under a minute. Free shooting is killing us .609%, and Shaq isn't even in the game.
Fisher missed a huge free throw rush is having a insane game shooting 50 percent from the field and leading the team in scoring. Lets see lakers have one more chance with 10 secs left down by 3. Fisher blows.
I could say I told you so, and talk a bunch of trash (and I should seeing how you guys have been about me) -- but I didn't come in this thread with that purpose and I won't leave that way. I never said "Purple N Gold is a bandwagon fan" or "bustedryde is a bandwagon fan" but for some reason you took it as if I had said that (I don't know any of you, why would I assume people I don't know are bandwagon?)... I know how hard reading can be. I said "most of you are bandwagon jumpers anyway" referring to Laker fans. You can't tell me every Laker fan around the world liked the Lakers before they won their 1st Championship (in the Kobe/Shaq era). I know people who are bandwagon fans, they were Bulls fans in the 90s, and now Laker fans... they go with the rings, and it's a FACT bandwagon fans exist. Again, I'm not calling ANYBODY on this forum a bandwagon fan (and never have), and if you read that I was, you must have some bandwagon issues or something. bustedryde and Phreeze had NOTHING to do with this thread yet posted in it, and now they take everything I say as a personal attack, so they insult me (and Suns players), funny how 20 year Laker fans seem to be 15 years old. I'm sure this will lead to more insults, but just remember I NEVER SAID ANYTHING about them... only that their insults were uncalled for, and since my first thread I've been trying to explain myself, and haven't once said anything bad about anybody on this forum, yet I've been called many things. shapecity is the only person (besides me) being civil. He explained how bandwagon fans don't really post on this forum, and did it without attacking me with half-wit insults, and uneducated presumptions of my basketball knowledge. So thank you shapecity, from now on I won't use the term "bandwagon" as I see it causes problems with Laker fans... even those who claim not to be bandwagon fans. Personally if somebody made an insult to bandwagon fans I wouldn't be offended because I'm NOT! The insults in my first post were towards those who really are bandwagon, I'm sure true Laker fans hate those "fans" too, I figured they would agree with me. I don't care what city ANYBODY lives in, you think Nugget fans in Denver aren't bandwagon right now? Believe me they are jumping on that ship faster than Oliver Miller can shove a doughnut in his mouth. I'm not saying everybody in Denver is a fake Nuggets fan... but there are many, I know because I visit my family in Denver, and most people there are Bronco fans and call the Nuggets the "ButtNuggets" -- they were a joke, and now I'm sure people are saying "I've been a Nuggets fan for 20 years" just like all these fake Laker fans (again, NOT YOU GUYS!! There are other people in the world than yourself, and the true bandwagon fans are who I'm attacking -- you know, the ones who live in Chicago who like the Yankees and Lakers). Back to the game, it's funny how everybody says Joe Johnson (26 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals; shooting 12-22) is inconsistent... how many Suns games you watch? Or do you just hear ESPN saying that, and assume it's true? I watch Suns games, I know how the Suns play, and I know how the Lakers play cause they are on TNT all the time!! But I don't go mouthing off about the Bucks, because I have seen exactly 1 Bucks game this year (they beat Phoenix a couple weeks ago in Milwaukee), so what do I know about the Bucks except from what SportsCenter says? This year has been a good year for Joe, he plays 3-4 good games in a row, and has a falling off game, but who doesn't? Johnson USED to play 5-6 bad games and have 1 good game, that's where he got that "inconsistent" label, but that was then! Jason Kidd who's been in the league for 10 years has worse shooting games than Joe, and more often, yet I never hear people call him inconsistent, rather people rant about how he should be MVP. Joe's got a better FG% than Ronald Murray, Paul Pierce, Ginobili, Eric Snow, Francis, Kidd, Billups, Iverson, and Baron Davis just to name a few, and turns it over less than most of the already mentioned players plus Kobe, Cassell, Garnett, Jermaine O'Neal, K-Mart, Duncan, and LeBron to name a few. Yet out of all these names only Joe gets singled out... behold the power of SportsCenter!! I wish Laker fans could have seen more of Barbosa, because he's the modern day Clyde Drexler. He's probably the fastest player in the NBA, and he's got such long arms, if he gets a steal, you better foul him, cause he'll fly by everybody and score. He's best in the transition game, and doesn't have to score to make an impact. But it was a sloppy game for both teams... I'm sure the Lakers have played better these last few games, as I KNOW the Suns have been much better since the Kings game (the first few games after the trade were just trying to learn to play without Marbury and with the new guys). I don't know anything about basketball because I "come in here and insult the Lakers in the Laker forum" -- so do I not know anything about football because I bought some bread at the store today? The 2 things don't relate... if you did take those as insults to you (which they weren't, go re-read it) then how does that affect my basketball IQ? What I think, is you were upset because I didn't conform to your Laker bias, and couldn't come up with anything else except "you don't even know your basketball". Not everybody has to like the Lakers, and just because we aren't bandwagon fans and jump on the Lakers bandwagon, doesn't make the rest of us basketball stupid. I'll make sure never to post opinions (even though I was right) about the Lakers again, I see it causes a severe case of butt-hurt!! {NOTE}: Nothing I said should be taken as an attack to anybody on this forum, if and when I said "you" it wasn't referring to anybody on this forum, rather the general public and the so-call "experts" who run their mouth on TV. I realize people on this forum know their NBA, and I have never intended to insult anybody on JustBBall, and if I have I apologize.
Allowing Voskul to have 18 points and 12 rebounds !?! The Lakers deserve a loss allowing that type of production from him. We did everything possible to lose this game, missed free throws and not rebounding down the stretch.
Damn it!!!!!!!!! Fisher missed damn it, he had such a chance. Ok i admit it was like Clippers when they were 2 points behind
LAkers missed 9 freethrows, Deavan Geroge missed 10 shots...ouch...can you guys say "RIck Fox" Who would've thought two broken teams would play such an exciting game...props to Joe Johnson, this is the best game I've ever seen him play
Voshuhl killed the lakers in rebounds late on the offensive boards. Thats what Phill Jackson gets for putting in a small line up and putting in fisher. They should'ev put a big body probably cook and voshkuhl wouldnt have had that many offensive rebounds. Rush had a great game agian.
Free throws missed was just terrible, Russell, Medvedenko ... although they are brilliant, I think they need to practice free throws, they are clos to ONeals freethrowing level

This was a tough loss for us. It might be awhile before we see another win with a 3 game road trip in Memphis, Dallas, and then Utah. The Lakers went away from what was working early in the game and feeding the hot shooting Russell for the rest of the game. Devean George has disappeared the last few games, and is getting progressively worse. I'd argue Joe Johnson's game is very inconsistent still. He's been solid the last few outings, but he is a streaky player. His game log shows it all for the month of January: 3-11 / 6 pts / 27.2% 5-15 / 14 pts / 33.3% 6-16 / 18 pts / 37.5% 10-18 / 25 pts / 55.6% 9-20 / 23 pts / 45.0% 2-9 / 4 pts / 22.2% 9-16 / 20 pts / 56.3% 12-16 / 26 pts / 75.0% 10-21 / 25 pts / 47.6% Even in his rookie season as a Celtic, Joe Johnson started off with great stats and then tailed off. To his credit he's been playing well of late, but until he can do it night in and night out, I'll continue to call him inconsistent.

Insult you, yeah maybe, but I still, even after the game think I had a reason to say what I said, and still feel the same way. The Suns do deserve this game, they outworked the Lakers in every possible way when it was needed. You come in here and question all the Laker fans, and then call us bandwagon fans, and you expect nothing back? I'm 17 and have been a Laker fan ever since I moved back to America, which puts me as a fan of them for 5 years now. I don't see how it matters how long you've been a fan, I think I'm just as big of a fan of the Lakers as anyone else who posts in here. Hey, you never know maybe some of these Laker fans in here are the "bandwagon fans" you think, but why does that matter to you? The ones who are real fans know it, and thats all that really matters. Good job to the Suns on this game, it was a good one to watch.
i don't know what the hell fisher was thinking when he made that very LONG shot! there was still alot of time left and he forced to shoot it. payton was even available on the side (behind the arc, too) and wasn't guarded as tight as fisher. fisher is shooting poorly and still want to be the hero, too bad that he'll be gone next season... just my prediction
I missed out on that game, but I did see the boxscore. Allowing Jake 12 points and rebounds is unacceptable. And down the stretch, they couldn't stop them. The game was close to the very finish. With a record that Phoenix has, the Lakers are expected to win. No excuses. Especially at Staples Center where they've been so dominant. A 2-2 record without the other superstars is decent. Let's hope they keep it up.
Damn, I fell asleep on this game last night. I thought the Lakers were going to take this one, but they let a lot of oppourtunities slip by. Only 60% from the FT Line, and we shot horrible as a team for only 38%. We had small leads throughout the game, and I was suprised that Rush and Russell stepped up again, but I guess they let it slip in the 3rd/4th quarter. I give credit to Joe Johnson for stepping up and having a big game, but Jake Voskuhl with 18 and 12? That's lack of Laker big men, Devean George had to start at the 4 last night, LOL.
