Wish I could catch this one. I think the US are going to win it, hopefully more than 1-0, but probably 1-0. No word on starting lineups, but the US will have one fan who is planning on being on the pitch with the team next year. In this SoccerByIves entry we get the story of Malian-soon-to-be-American defender, Bakary Soumare, who is hoping to get the call from Bob Bradley once he gets the call saying he's a US citizen.
Oh it's today thanks for reminding me. Now i got something to watch. T&T is a pretty good team right.
Astounding stat I got when I returned from class is that Clint Dempsey has now scored in four straight international appearances. I'm amazed because I have been so critical of his performances. I think so much of it is that I'm used to seeing passion and emotion from Clint Dempsey like in the picture below and I'm used to seeing him take people on an make the moves that gets the crowd on their feet and I haven't seen that in the last few matches.
Yeah it was a great win for the US. They really have no competition in the group. It's just too damn easy for them. They should make them play in Europe.
Yeah i agree, i'd like to see them play some good teams. Not teams like Spain or Germany, but something like Turkey, Romania, Greece, Mexico (I know Turkey and Mexico aren't in Europe )
Oh weird, they showed the standings yesterday and all i saw was USA, Guatemala, T&T, and another country i forgot. At first i thought Mexico is in the same league but i didn't see them.
They should verse England in the next friendly they can get!! lol we will bring em back down to Earth.
They recently played England, wasn't too good for USA, lol. But it was just a friendly to get fans excited. They also played Argentina and Spain.
The Argentina match was fantastic as either team could have won it and the draw was a just result. It could have been a hell of a win though if Onyewu didn't send his header off the bar. The England and Spain matches, on the other hand, were awful.
